The host's ability to condescend made me throw up a little bit in the back of my throat. Shouldn't he be treating people like idiots on "E!" or something?

He was too over the top. Tone it down a notch. A few of lines were delivered with a touch of douchyness which was quite annoying.

I don't get your problem. That guy was actually pretty good. The Reel would actually work much better if hosted by a duo I think. ;)

He seemed a bit TOO over-the-top and thus was almost just right. I think if he hones his o-t-t presentation he might be on to something.

I thought the host was great!
He's not made for "depressing" stories.
I bet he would be better if there were videos of Japanese ninjas crashing a greek wedding.

I think this guy was an excellent host. The Digg Reel seemed a lot more interesting. I hope we see more of him in the future!

I agree. Nothing against JC, but he seemed a much better fit.

so JC is gone now ?...i dont think she would of showed that puppy video unless it was something very cute to show everybody, but maybe the show was just not controversial enough in the first place.
showing the good the bad and the ugly, so far this is the real digg. the host looks professional, though ive never seen him before.

I liked the new guy, cutting down on the weird voices slightly wouldn't hurt though :)
Anyway, if Jessica is gone someone should update the end credits ;)

She isn't gone. She was just on vacation during the time period when the Digg Reel is filmed.

I thought Andrew Bancroft was a fantastic host. Not that Jessica isn't, but I would totally watch this guy in a show. Does he work at Rev3, or was he "brought in" from the outside to fill in?

Bancroft needs to tone it down a few dozen notches. He'd be less vomit-inducing.

I liked Bancroft's hosting. It felt more natural that when Jessica does it (she looks like she is being forced to read what she has to say). Bancroft just read what was necessary and ad libbed the rest (e.g. the PC/Mac nerd-off).
If Jessica decided to just work on popSiren, I wouldn't mind having Andrew Bancroft take over, or at least act as a cohost.
i think he did a good job! i wonder how it would be if he and jessica hosted... but i guess it would be like digg and be too redundant... but i digress :D

The hell is up with Rev3 this week? besides Popsiren being great everything else so far has been bad or wierd and digg reel was never that good but I just checked this ep out after giving up on it weeks ago and HOLY SHIT!....this ep was truly 1000% g4 this pic has never been more justified EVER!

I really hope diggnation and tekzilla don't end up being this bad tomorrow and REALLY REALLY hope this is just a wierd week for Rev3 shows and things don't continue to spiral down like this overall for all the shows but this specifically actually made me really think this was some turd fest lets target pre pubescent males like g4 does and insult the Rev3 audience.

The whole CONCEPT of The Digg Reel is very G4'ish. So in that sense, Andrew Bancroft is doing a bang-up job. Bearing that in mind, I also do agree that he should tone down the personality a little....he kinda reminds me of the "blooper video" sketch on Robot Chicken.

As much as I want to like Jessica Corbin, I just can't. She's unfunny, awkward in front of the camera, and just a bore to watch. Thank god she finally left Tekzilla. I only come back to the Digg Reel each week for the videos. But this Andrew Bancroft character I like. I thought he was funny, charismatic, and I thought it was a much better show overall. Keep him on, dump Jessica. Sorry hon, you're just not a good host.

I'm in the same boat as Dave here. I ran outta rev3 content to watch so I turned on this week's digg reel. About 1 minute into it I realized that I was laughing and enjoying the show, and that surprised me. SO regardless of whether or not some folks think that this week's show was more "G4'ish" or not, I thought this new guy did great and I really hope to see him again. I'd much much much rather LOOK at Jessica, but for the whole hosting position, sadly, I enjoyed the new guy much more within the confines of "the digg reel".
