I've been buying parts from newegg.com for the last five years. I've yet to have any bad experience with them. If I ever had a hardware problem, RMA was a breeze, and I got my new hardware in about a week and a half after sending in my RMA.

newegg.com and zipzoomfly.com are the only places you need imo. both have excellent service and shipping. sometimes you can find lower prices on certain parts from one or the other, so make sure you compare.

Seconded on newegg.com and zipzoomfly.com.

TigerDirect have great prices - PROVIDED YOU DONT NEED A REBATE TO GET THEM. If the price is AFTER a rebate, then best of luck getting the rebate processed.

I do buy from CircuitCity.com or BestBuy.com as well, but generally only if its a good deal - and even then, I do it with the "instore pickup" option. The BB and CC prices are often cheaper online than instore, so its worth checking.

Don't dismiss Amazon.com. Tax free, and free shipping can make some items a bargain compared to retail.

Dell.com ... but it has to be something you need that they stock.

ALSO, check out woot.com on a daily basis. They sell a single item each day (except on wootoffs), but if that is the item you need, it is heavily discounted.

And finally, overstock.com. Mainly refurb gear, but backed with full warrantee and a good return policy.

I would only use Best Buy if I want to pick up something that day. If you don't need to pick up then Newegg is a great place to buy computer related parts. I have never had any issues with part returns on the site. I have gotten two faulty parts, one of which broke after using it for like a few days. They replaced / refunded my money without hassle. When I build my next computer that is the first site I go to check for prices.

I have never had a problem with either newegg or directron. I ordered something just before xmas and it seemed like I got it the next day or so.
