So rumour has it that this is a leaked model from the SM3 video game, who knows... but I whole heartedly believe this is how he'll look in the film. Now it's your turn to either cum over it or become enraged that somebody is bringing attention to an overrated character. I personally think it looks pretty fucking awesome.

i am really excited to have Venom in the movie, but I think 3 villains in a movie might ruin it the way it did with the Batman movies. we'll see.

2. If having three villains in B&R is what ruined the movie for you, you deserve a beating.

the more villains you add to the storyline the more you have to focus on their story and the less 3 dimensional the characters seem. every Batman except the first and Begins sucked because they stacked too many new villains to bother with creating some decent characters you might actually care about.

if Spider-Man 3 does not take the time to work with Peter's character and his relationships and the things that challenge his life and focus on defeating wave after wave of bad guys then it is not going to be a good movie.

my dream is Sandman goes down in the first five minutes of the movie, and Harry vs. Black Spidey is the meat of the movie, with a to-be-continued Venom ending. any attempt of this to become a mini-Sinister Six (Terrible Three, anyone?) is going to destroy the film.

and the 4th villain is Peter Parker. he goes all dark when he gets the symbiote and becomes evil. this has already been revealed. of course, having a darker Peter means we might not get the famous Spider wit as much, which means the movie might lack the humor the first one had (the second one was kind of sad and was missing the characteristic Spidey one-liners)

needless to say, I am a big fan of Spider-Man and will probably love the movie no matter what, but I definitely see the way it SHOULD be made and I hope Raimi and Co. don't let me down.

If this does have a to-be-continued ending I hope I'm told before hand, I went to see PotC - Dead Mans Chest, and didn't know it was to be continued it was pretty disappointing at the end and the last half an hour was ruined because I kept thinking a lot has to happen quick or this is going to be one long arse movie.

I think the trailer did a fine job of showing that the focus of this film is Peter's challange to overcome the darkness inside himself, which sorta has dual meanings. I think this one may be a little less relationship problem heavy than the last film. A lot of those problems are carrying over so they won't have to waste time telling us why Harry hates Parker, or how MJ feels about him, and how he feels about his own life. He's just going to become a dick once he gets the suit, that should be no suprise to any of us. It's going to effect his personal life and his superhero life and I think it's great that we have this huge cast of characters to play off that. Gwen/Mary-Jane/Harry/Brock are all personal problems and GG2/Venom/Sandman are all "professional" problems. I think the scales are tipped pretty even.

The story has to have a solid conclusion as I don't beleive anyone is contracted to make a fourth film at this point. But Marvel would be retarded to not leave the door open for Venom or anyone else to return without doing a 'Begins' restart on the franchise. The entire plot outline is on the web, if you want legit spoilers google it up, or send me a PM... Just don't post any spoilers about the story here.

I think it may be pretty obvious that I'm a pretty big Spidey/Venom fan. Needless to say, I think it looks great. And if that's supposed to be from the game, then it should look even better in the movie!

As for the multiple enemies, I too worried it could get jumbled similar to some of the batman movies. But the way I thought of it, if they just had Harry become a new Green Goblin, it could feel too much like the first movie repeated. Also, I seem to recall Venom ending Sandman in the comics... could that be something we see in the movie? I think it would connect the characters together well if there was also conflict between Venom and Sandman. It would also link the movie to the comics some more.

Sony had them remove the pics from their website, which is a good indication that they're authentic. They said they were early concept art and not final but the one of Harry looks very, very, close to how he appears in the first trailer.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what they've got in the trailer comming out this Thursday.

I just have to go on record as saying I hate, hate, hate that Green Goblin 2 design. It actually makes the first one look good, and that one was a piece of shite too.

The Venom is looking just about right though. More or less what I was expecting.

First of all, Venom looks awesome. Just how he should in this movie. My kudos.

Second, I've been hearing this fear all over the place about the multiple villains, and to be honest I don't think that it's a bad thing at all. You ever notice how, in the comics, all the $hit in the world rains down on Peter Parker all at once? Seems par for the course if he has to deal with threats coming at him from all sides.

Sandman's a character without any real personal ties to Spidey, so he's a good warm-up foil for Pete to demonstrate his new powers and new attitude on (and maybe come close to killing while under the symbiote influence). Venom, of course, is the big baddie, but someone brought something up months and months ago to me that kinda makes sense: What if Harry isn't a villain?

Go with me here. Everyone thinks that now that he knows that Pete is Spidey, he's gonna turn on Pete. What if it's the opposite? What if he finds out that his best friend is Spider-Man and realises that he's been a fool to hate him? THEN, GG2 comes to the aid of Spidey in his most dire hour, all the while fighting the influence of the madness that destroyed his father! Badass, I think.

As for the forth villain... I'm hoping it's Bruce Campbell as Mysterio, who Spidey'll take out in the first five minutes.

BTW this is all conjecture. I havn't read any spoilers, nor do I plan to until this awesome looking movie comes out!

Thundercat has my vote for #1 SPIDERMAN-3 SPOILER IN THE WORLD.

BUT!!! this looks M*TH*RF*CK*NG AWEEEEEESSSSOOOOOOOMEEE!!!!!!

PERFECT. Just perfect. There's no way that it could look any better. If this is really it, then I'm PERFECTLY happy and cannot WAIT to see the fight between him and spidey. It should be epic. 100% cg without a shadow of a doubt. But epic nonetheless.

GG2 looks great. It's taking a more "real" approach to it in that the costume is much more like a real person would make their shit if they had those kinds of powers. From my halloween costume, I think y'all know how much I've always loved spidey and that even though i'm graduating college and don't know what i'm doing with my life. I want May here NOW. NOW.

and is there any kind of "for sure" on that trailer coming out thursday?

Okay, okay, okay. Who says that there are going to be 4 villains in this movie? I mean, that is to say, there may be 4 villains, but who says they're all going to be in suit, fighting Spidey? Spider-Man 1 and 2 made so much money, it would be ridiculous NOT to make another spidey movie, especially when they have already established Green Goblin 2, and Dr Conners from the second film (anyone else notice he was missing an arm?)

But I thing Mysterio will be introduced, as well as Venom, but I think the bulk of the movie will be between Sandman and Spidey dealing with the symbiote.

Yeah, but in all the comics, if he seriously ****s up, Captain America, or Iron Man, or any countless number of heroes can back him up. The movies only have one hero (so far). The comics can also bank on multiple issues. This film has to clock in at around 2 hours, and if it's a constant series of fight scenes, it'll be the most expensive movie ever made.

Yes Brian, the trailer comming out this Thursday is suppose to be the one attached to Casino Royale... which is also rumored to be the same one they showed at Comic-con. Even if it's not I think the cat's been out of the bag long enough and I don't see any reason to keep Venom a mystery any more. It'll be online Thursday and it'll be shown at the end of The Gauntlet on MTV that night.

The "insider" version of Venom looks more like what i've heard it was going to be like. I heard they were basing Venom's look more on how he was originally drawn by Todd McFarlane. You know the look, the teeth in the mouth were pointy, but they weren't huge shark jaws like they've become since then. No matter what, it'll be awesome!

Yeah, it for sure shows them fighting, but it could just be that Harry is actually trying to stop evil symbiote infected Peter. Thus Peter would be the bad guy for a short time when he's taken over by the suit, and Harry wouldn't be a villian. After all, in the comics the symbiote would completely control Peter's body at night while he was asleep. It could be something like that.

But, for the record, Hulk was a steaming load of gamma irradiated sh** from frame one. Now Fantastic Four, there's a superhero movie I can get behind!
