Its been a while since i have seen a dialog with rev3 from the community here. So i thought i would throw up a thread and point people down this path.

For me i wanna say this.

Over all i think the site and company is doing a fantastic job. I mean really fantastic. The talent working for rev3 now is so different from just last year its mind blowing. Its all composed of people that i listen too so much and beyond that people that have my trust. A kinda loyalty has been earned for rev3 from this consumer that just isnt made over night. Its made from years of commitment and proof of who and what your about.

That said, here are a few small things that would make rev3 better for this individuals life.

Mobile rev3.

This is a brilliantly implemented solution for delivering content. Im serious, whoever is the designer/'s that made the mobile layout deserves some serious respect in relation to their vision and skill in this field. My hat is off.

That said i so have 1 issue that is relevant to my experience and that is the quality of the mobile content. While i realize that bandwidth is a issue, i would also put forth that most phones these days have wifi ability or are gonna be having wifi as we move forward. On top of that i think with the ramping up of development of the iphone as not just a phone, but a mobile computing platform i think your seeing apple being at the start of a movement that will become much greater then any one company. So with that in mind i ask for a link option for higher bandwidth versions, even if its just the small quicktime or something. Right now the quality is so bad that i would have to be pretty hard up to not just skip the mobile url and go to the full site like i was previously and just get the small quicktime version. The current one is tinny and so washed out i can hardly tell its patrick talking on tezkilla or whatever.

So to sum up, request for higher quality links on the play page.

Flash support.

Until recently i have shunned flash. Everything flash does, like youtube and stuff, has always been poor quality. Though recently im finding myself watching TRS ( FTW ) diggnation and the other shows in flash cause they have seemingly increased vastly in quality. Maybe its my perception, but if you have made a change, its for the better.

That said my request is for even better flash support. If the quality can be upped just a little bit more then i would always use it. I dont know if this is what you want, people using flash over rss links and itunes, but it sure is quick and easy and bypasses the one issue that really holds back IPTV and thats the ease of delivery to the TV. As a ps3 owner that has struggled for a reliable and functional method of pushing content from the PC to the ps3 this is a welcome solution.

Other then that, i cant think of anything else for just my own personal experience that i would want changed or tweaked. All the shows fill a niche i feel and the niche they fill are done with good production quality and professionalism. I can honestly say my faith in rev3 and their future is only stronger now then it was before.

So finally let me just say directly to you all, thank you for providing this for us. I know its a business, i know your need to live and make money is important, i know ill probably never meet any of you or even be known to 99% of the people at rev3, but thats ok. In a way i feel like we are part of the same tribe anyway and you provide something thats more then just entertaining, its important.

So just know that 1 person and with that said im sure MANY others appreciate you all, from the forum mods, to the audio visual, to the guys that post in threads to help with ideas or show releases, to stars of the shows and tech which i wont name anyone cause in their own way they are all equal.

And also thank you for helping a community grow on the web that is opening up new doors for business opportunities in a time where, at least in america, its needed most.

I must agree with the above post 100%.......While searching for some Photoshop tutorials I recently ran across Revision3's website and I couldn't be happier. I was a fan of TechTV and Screensavers so running across Revision3 was a godsend....it was also quite nice to see some familier old faces talkin about stuff I always found interesting......So far Tekzilla is great....So is Systm.....i'm still sampling most of the other shows.

Being an artist myself, I was overjoyed to find the show Pixel Perfect with Bert Monroy.....I seem to remember him from the ScreenSavers....Anyway,what a great show and great instructor......and the best part was I could download any episode I wanted to my home pc and watch it later...and in HD no less. Bert's brilliant instructions are something i've needed for a very long time.....reading how-to books and trying to figure stuff out on your own just isn't the same as watching someone like Bert show us how......so thank you sooooo very much for this show.....its convinced me to fork out some hard earned greenbacks for a new Wacom tablet i've always felt I didn't need.....so the shows sponsers should be happy to hear that huh?....lol.

If I had one request for something i'd like to see.....It would be to see a show or a series of episodes on "Web design" or more specific, website building for a homebased business or hobbiest. The show might cover something like building a simple webpage online at a free hosting site or better yet....design a more complex site using software such as Photoshop and/or Frontpage since alot of home pc's have Microsoft Office that includes Frontpage.....finish the show off with teachin folks how to then upload their newly built website to a hosting site such as GoDaddy. I'm sure i'm not the only guy that has built and maintains his own website, but wishes he knew how to build a better one without hiring a professional webmaster.

Well thats about all I wanted to say, other than all you folks at Revision3 are doing a great job and i'm so happy I found ya.....i'll be around for along time if you'll let me.

Thanks.

wow what a great idea. I have spent a few days now trying to track down resources for learning to make web sites. There is no real source in video for. So let me second that.
