Where the **** does he get his funding?

I heard it was some loop hole in German tax law whereby someone could invest in a movie and it would be to their advantage that it flop at the box office. But I think that has since been fixed so I don't know what he's doing nowadays. Boxing bloggers half his size I guess.

He's got a lot of stuff on his plate according to IMDB. Including Far Cry which was a cool game but had a shit story.

I implore everyone here: if you are going to see this movie, pirate it. Don't give this downie any of your money.

Seriously. And without a doubt. I now know of the existence of something we all thought to be farce. There is nothing we can do and they are the most powerful organization on earth. I'm sorry to say that Uwe Boll gets any and all of his funding, ideas, and maybe even likeness (is he a robot?) from the organization that upholds this sacred piece of parchment:

all hail the stonecutters. this is the only possible explanation.

This is awesome! Uwe Bolls is awesome! May I have another glass of awesome?

I love the way the article asks who funds this stuff... you know Uwe Boll acts as producer on many of his own films. I'm convinced that Uwe is simply hired when a studio needs a tax write off... he always comes through with the goods.

hahaha

from Wiki:

Recently, Boll made a challenge to his critics to "put up or shut up". In June 2006, his production company issued a press release stating that Boll would challenge his five harshest critics each to a 10 round boxing match. Invitations were also open to film directors Quentin Tarantino and Roger Avary.

That just happened like last month. The four guys he boxed were all internet "journalists" and he beat down every one of them. He actually used to box competitively so they had no chance. Also, even though everybody thought this was going to be for fun and not totally serious (he actually filmed the matches to use in his next movie, Postal) he did not go easy on them. And one of the guys was 18.

Yeah, he's a douche.

Hahaha, oh my god! I can't believe this guy. I actually went to see "Alone in the Dark" with some friends of mine before we knew who Boll was. I can assure you we will never forget who he is now. We saw it practically on release day, and I swear the theater only had about 10 people in it. And throughout the course of the movie, I think 4 of them walked out! By the end we had totally given up on it, and we were all just laughing out loud at how bad it was.

Yeah, so I decided it was hipocritical to yell at this guy for making shitty movies when I hadn't seen one. So me, a few friends, and a really late night watched House of the Dead. There wasn't even a ****ing house. It wasn't even "bad" good. It was just unbearable.

For some reason, I acquired a copy of Bloodrayne (ARRGH! Matey!) and that movie is actually bad enough to be good. It has TNA so that counts for something.

Oh, and just today I started watching Alone in the Dark, which I had recorded on my dad's dvr, and watching Christian Bale in a shitty movie was like... well, it was like the 80s.

Yeah, this guy needs to stop, Seriously, now.

Apparently Boll in all his wisdom and glory is making a sequel to Bloodrayne (http://www.aintitcool.com/node/30624?hey_lets_make_a_isequeli_to_an_artistic__com mercial_failure__a_bolloriffic_bloodrayne_2_is_com ing)

I just watched the original Bloodrayne tonight for the first and only time. I don't understand how Boll elicits such bad performances from decent actors. There is only so much they can do with the script they have, I get that. But even the delivery of their lines was horrible. Either they all chose to use really shitty meter and cadence in their speech (maybe they were directed to do so), or it was something that they messed with in editing and ADR.

Main directorial gripes I have with the movie is shot selection, and editing, in addition to the performances that the actors gave (Ben Kingsley might as well have been a cardboard cut out). There were many wide shots where you aren't sure who is who and what is going on. There are shots of people on horses where you have to guess who that is and where they are going.

I guess though, to sum the movie up, Boll might have accomplished exactly what he wanted to do with this film. His signature is video game movies right? Well this movie played out exactly like a video game, from the shitty pre-rendered graphics (I'm referring to low budget props wardrobe, sets, and CGI), to the shitty dialogue and voice acting. - the only problem with this is that in recent years the production value of video games has gotten a lot higher, and we (as gamers) come to expect more from games, as well as movies. It's not like we have very sophisticated tastes, but we aren't all the retarded tools that G4 and other media make us out to be.

I already admitted to watching the movie last night. You can't expect me to use the full brunt of my cognitive resources after a traumatic blow like that.
