Really? I think this movie is going to blow. This just looks like Jack and Kyle's career got in a wreck at the corner of "Dude Where's My Car" avenue and "Harold and Kumar" blvd.

Really? I like the movies Jack Black has been in so far, and there's that one he's going to be in (a romance/comedy with Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet, the name of which eludes me) that also looks intriguing. Kyle Gass in a co-leading role should be interesting, too. Liam Lynch, the director, besides being co-creator, co-writer, director, and producer of the Sifl & Olly Show, also worked with TD on their "Tribute" music video and a few short films for the band too.
Of course, I don't know what to expect either, but I don't think it's going to be a bad comedy. I think it's going to get an A+.

i was very sad to see on IMDb that Be Kind Rewind is in production. I seriously thought the concept of this film was a joke. It's about freakin' VHS tapes!
I can't wait for the story of the epic journey of the band known as D.

I just read the plot synopsis for Be Kind Rewind, and as much as I like Jack Black, that does sound really bad.
Also, from that post from xxxthundercatxxx, Harold and Kumar was not a bad movie (while it was in no way a cinematic masterpiece, either).

I felt that way when I saw the trailer. It looked so bad, but the opening 6 minutes has restore my faith in the movie.
Man, that kid is perfect as teenage Jables.

I saw the movie last week here in London. It's OK, but not what I'd really hoped for. It's incredibly stupid and pretty cheaply made. The opening seen with Meatloaf is probably the best part of the film. Strangely enough, I found Kyle pretty annoying in the movie, but JB was awesome.
Still can't wait for the soundtrack CD.
