I don't know about you guys...but I picked up a sweet pair of square toe heeled boots with a zip up the side and a buckle on the side...I love them....picked them up at the buckle. I love me some casual shoes...but those are pretty badass.

Pretty much sounds like beatle boots from the 60's band.:p

I was just thinking about it, but could the band that got popular from Myspace, be the Arctic Monkeys?

He's probably thinking of that.
The only other band I can think of now is OneRepublic. IIRC they started out on Myspace and Timbaland signed them.

Great show so far, in the middile of watching it now. As a Brit I have to ask, though, what the hell is that 'tea' you're drinking? It looks like apple juice!

I love how Alex missed the "light it the fuck up" weed reference. Kevin was just sitting there smiling as Alex went on about pyrotechnics :P

Since most people here like social websites and firefox anyone here using flock web browser?...I love it esp how it's great with my FF extensions and RSS feeds and is perfect for "web 2.0" features.
Kev is right about the "www" being a Japanese meme for LOL. I played FFXI for a year, and there were a lot of Japanese players, and they used w all the time. It's short for "warou" I think, which, if I remember correctly, means "laughter".

2 pairs of old school DCs still.. I haven't been drawn to the new ones, so I'm checking out the links posted on here in hopes of finding something. Shoes are hard, man.

Yeah and not much gets by Alex. He is a wise ass. He may say something like the pyrotechnics thing. But he is playing it off with sarcasm. People that don't smoke do that more often than not because the boldness of the people that do smoke is annoying. We don't care, but no one will just shut up about it. Like the gay folk. OK you are there, do you HAVE to wear a sign?
We don't care as much as those that smoke INSIST on telling us.
Great show by the way.

I love this show but I find there is less and less of the content you guys do and instead we're getting a bit more of taking phone calls during the show and things like that. Please don't flame me, I understand how Diggnation is informal but how informal do you want it to get- I mean, I can videotape mundane aspects of my life (calling the gas company) and post it too. Please keep Diggnation about topics, I don't think it's unreasonable to point out something that detracts from the level of work that you guys do in diggnation. Thanks for listening.

I dunno, I really like the informal "Ok, we're gonna start now and whatever happens before we finish we're just gonna run with it" method of taping. It makes me feel like I'm just sitting in the room with Alex and Kevin talking to me. Otherwise it would just feel formal, cold, and asymmetrical. If I wanted that I'd just go read about news stories online. What would I need someone to verbally speak them to me for?
I dunno...
Also, I like Pumas. Though I did just buy some Vans. And Alex is spot on about the Tigers. I'm gonna have to pick up a pair of those. Seems like everyone in the UK is rockin' 'em at the moment.

Exactly. Keeping the show loose and informal makes Kevin and Alex seem like real people. Things like taking a call from a repair company or firing off an email to a fan makes the show "personable." It really does, in a sense, feel like you're just sitting down with a couple friends and talking about Digg stories.

Not to "flame you" at all. (I hate the kids online lingo these days. Flaming was much different in my day. About five years ago.) Anyway, I don't think any Digg user really watches Diggnation for the content. It isn't about content, it is really about entertainment. I do seek out some stories if I have missed them. But for the most part, I have already seen the stories they talk about anyway. Diggnation was the beginning of making internet TV better than regular TV. It was never CNN, it was more like Stewart and Colbert on Comedy Central. Comedy based on actual news.

Fair enough then. I understand, you like the informal "I'm feeling like I'm with you Kevin and Alex" kind of experience. I like the virtual hanging with them too but I apparently like them giving us most of their attention since they're asking us to listen/watch.

www is Japanese for lol because w stands for the Japanese verb warau which means to laugh.
I first figured this out by playing with Japanese people on Final Fantasy XI...while studying japanese.
