Out of all of these my Genesis still holds the title for being my favorite. It's what I grew up on and what I still love today. My Genesis + Sonic Games = PURE ENJOYMENT. In my opinion the Genesis had one of the greatest game libraries out there.

Sonic, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Columns, Vectorman, etc., etc., etc., the list goes on. MAN WAS THE GENESIS GREAT! :D

I own a 360, PS2, XBOX, PC, Mac, GC and a GB Color.

Previous machines that have, for some reason, fallen out of my collection are: A PSX (I got it at launch, so it was never a PSOne. If I had to use the regular name I'd call it a PS1, but it was always PSX back then), DS, SNES and a NES.

...I'm very sad about the PSP since Crisis Core comes out Tuesday. I was actually playing the leaked version when I dropped my PSP, so I'm gonna say that's some bad pirate karma. :( Oh well, I'll be getting the component cable so I can play it via TV until I decide what to do.

Of old systems: PSX, PS2, GBC, NES, Atari XE

Missed out on the SNES/Genesis era (though I played at friends'/family's houses). Of course, roms certainly solved that problem.

I have owned all of them in the poll except for the Game Gear. Within the last two years I've paired down to current gen for space and time reasons. That was a very hard thing to do.

Currently I'm sporting the 360, PS3, Wii and a PSP Slim.

Previously I've owned the Oddysey 2, Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, Intellivision, NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Micro (still have it with no games), Virtual Boy, Nintendo DS, DS Lite, PS1, PS2, and a 3DO. Selling most of that stuff was hard, but it was mostly sitting in several closets taking up space. At least it helped fund my current collection.

Personally I'm a PC gamer at my core. I'm an FPS, RTS and Sim fiend so these gaming styles are really optimized for the PC mostly due to the control systems. Sure there are some interesting things that have been done to make FPS games work well on consoles, but let's face it, these games really work much better on the PC.

Try Metroid Prime 3 and Medal o Honor Heroes 2 with those controls..first time ever I felt a FPS on a console is just as not more accurate than a PC plus opens up more options(ripping a shield away in MP3 while shooting at another target and moving around at once can be quite intense and amazing fun.)

Metroid Prime 3 was something else on the Wii...though there were issues with the control scheme (mainly "shake remotes to remove attached critter" and then trying to get the damned thing to recognize the Wii-mote again while said critter was coming to attack again...maybe I just got into it too much though.)

It was hard trying Metroid Prime with a Gamecube controller afterwards though...

But yeah after MP3 I can't ever play a console FPS using dual analog again.

Made some terrible console choices in the past including a Panasonic 3DO -- although playing with 7 other people (FIFA soccer) on one console and the first interactive CD games were amazing!
