In this episode, Willits explains how to process sounds using a MIDI pick-up, a Roland GR-20 guitar synthesizer, and Ableton Live's Operator and Drum Rack.

Wow, I'm really quite impressed with this episode. This is the first of Willits' shows that I have had the chance to watch, but I found it very informative. I know a few communities that could really take what he has introduced and turn it into something rediculous. So.. I am pimping the link all over the place to said communities. Keep up the great work guys, see you next week.

First of all I resent all of the good programming Revition3 is putting out. I am just an old TechTV fan, who re-found all his TechTV fav's (minus Leo of course, he is not here but there). I keep getting sucked into new programs, I did not ever think to bother with XLR8TR but now I keep up with it.

Especially with Willis, he has sucked me in. The “Bert Monroy” of the fretboard, I love his monthly stuff, it would be great (if he had the time, he probably does not) to spin him off unto his own series I would certainly watch it. Good work Rev3, and Goodonya Willis, and thanks.

I use a MIDI keyboard, rather than a MIDI guitar, but everything else Willits talked about "to blow people away" still applies. I used to have a GR-33, and before that a GR-30. But, then sanity kicked in and I realized everything I wanted to do with a midi guitar I could do better with a midi keyboard without any tracking issues.

The stuff on using slicing beats using Tension was also very useful.
