Now that you guys have the Versa "LASER" (Austin Powers pun intended) we better see some diggnation beer bottles and some pretty cool revision3 logod items for sale..... You guys have no excuse not to have a staff who does nothing but make items with the laser and sell them to me.... (I am waiting for my Internet Superstar license plates!!!) :p

Will you be able to make revision 3 logo's on things as small as ink pens.. If so, I'd like to order one of each shows logos please!!!

I'd pay for that strip of wood with the revision3 logo in it.. The deep cut version that is.

So I got it from images.google.com, just search for bender, it's right on the first page. The trick was going to 2 tone (if you've got a mac, just use preview.app, go tools-> and slide the contrast and black level to the right and white level to the left.)

The versalaser wants EPS or some vector format (i would image that's fairly universal for these things). I believe I just used the print dialog's save as postscript function for that.

Remember, you need negatives for this, black gets etched and white gets left alone

they really could sell alot of rev3 stuff this way.

since they can't mass market it through a single machine maybe they could do a woot clone where they have a limited supply of a Rev3 logo object.

Dammit, now I want one of these things (along with a three foot deep, room-sized ball pit, complete with at least a minimal entertainment system, and recently a MAME cabinet, which I never thought I'd want). I'd probably etch everything I own, from my four year old iBook to my new Nokia N73 to my (micro)SD/CF/MSDuo cards, and probably use the logos I've designed for most of my devices (which are still all stored in vector formats... I'm such a geek).
