Hey, how was your l.a. trip ? It's good we didn't schedule a beery, as I was having my once-every-4yrs battle with fever that week you were here. Highland and Hollywood has changed a bit huh ? Did you get any In'N'Out ? (the burgers, no jokes of any sort) Next time, I'll take you to a pub/bar that has a great number of aussie/kiwi/brit patrons, in the heart of the strip. No aus beers, but the Stella on tap is cold and it's waiting on the bar for me when I walk in the door. Also, boobies, lots of them.

LA was a blast. Always is. Hollywood and Highland has changed a lot, but you don't need to travel too far for it to get seedy again. Not sure if I like the Disneyfication of the area or not - it feels like an extension of Universal Walk up at Universal Studios. Unfortunately, I got hit with gout in both knees (it crippled me) - happens when I am travelling, drinking, and not having enough water. Anyway - I drank too much, ate too much (added 6lbs to my weight ... which took me a couple of weeks to lose again), but had a blast. Unfortunately, I picked up a hitchhiker on the trip back - a nasty virus that decided my lungs were the right place to settle, haven't quite evicted the sucker yet, but almost over it.

And yes, I got my In'n'out in ... within 1 hour of landing :)

I do have a DS Lite, and I love it to death.. And got a new digital camera for Christmas :) I’d like someone to buy games and stuff for my DS but no one in my family ever buys that kinda thing for me.

So my mom started a tradition of just taking me to the mall and I could walk and look at pretty much anything I wanted. Eventually I'd find something I wanted and that would become my gift. Sometimes one large thing, sometimes several smaller things. Whatever fit in the budget. It was so cool, kinda like a mini shopping spree! :D

Thats pretty cool, I'd like to do that.. I don't think anyone really wants to spend money on me though. I was asking my family, and they didn't want to spend too much. Money is tight I guess..

My birthday's on Dec. 23. It's always just part of the holidays. I wouldn't have it any other way, though. My family meets for my birthday, and then again, two days later. On some rare, really good years (as a kid), I got to open presents for three days in a row. And no, I don't get cheated. No one does the one-gift-for-both-celebrations thing. I got lucky with my family, that way.
