Thanks for the link. I think I'm gonna get a that Toshiba 56-inch. Then I can be like Token and only go out to the theater for event movies.
BTW, you're easily going to be the creepiest mod with the "JLo and chesticles avatar" :)

Hey, Brian has his in-grown toenail on his third eyelid, we all need something to stick out and be known for. But, uh, that's Martin Sargent, not JLo, sorry.

Aw, shucks, hyuck-hyuck. Naw, it's the ever drifting (http://revision3.com/webdrifter), podcasting (http://revision3.com/infected) and internet telephony's Martin Sargent (http://sargeworld.com).

I purchased a 52" JVC LCoS HDTV, and I've been extremely happy with it. You can get the 56" version now for around $2300. A great price for a great TV.

You can give as many links as you want, but nothing compares to the tender, loving touch of the first time. Sorry :)

The day after Thanksgiving. It is traditionally the busiest shopping day of the year, and the money stores make is often enough to put them in the black (hence the name, though I think it's called that because it's the color of your mood after you get out of one of those goddam stores).

Very good question. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friday_the_13th)Wrong answer (in this context). Reaver has it. Its a US thing ... in Australia the biggest shopping day is Boxing Day (day after Xmas) when all the stores have their Christmas Sales on. I like the US version better, getting a bargain after Xmas feels lame.

Best Buy ad leaked. Looks like I'm finally getting my sub-$400 laptop. Not to mention a sub-$200 desktop for my mom for Christmas.
Hoo-ray!!!!

Yes, but in an effort to make myself not look too stupid I shall point out that you are Australian. Feel better? You bet I do.

And to add, Black Friday hasn't always been as big as it's gotten over the past 5 years.
The day after X-mas is still huge for returns and such, but Black Friday is getting more out of hand each year.
Alas, I'll be out in a line, in the cold at Best Buy at 4:30 am the day after Thanksgiving.

I always miss out on the Black Friday sales, as my wedding anniversary is just before it, and I'm almost always out of town celebrating it (usually on a cruise).

I occasionally have friends pick things up for me if it's really important. But, all things considered, I'd rather be on a cruise in the Caribbean than in a store dealing with dozens of assholes.

Boxing day is in Cananda too...Pretty much all Commonwealth countries celebrate Boxing (St Stephens) Day. UK, Canada, Australia ... and I think even tiny little islands connected to the internet via coconuts and fishing line (Trinidad & Tobago) might celebrate it.
St Stephens day is also a common holiday in many parts of Europe.
I can't complain too much, living in the US, I lose Boxing Day, but pick up Thanksgiving, which I think has become my favourite holiday of the year.

unfotunally i think my black friday plans have been cancelled! we having some heavy rains in the north east and my mom's ceiling to her new house got a bad leak and the whole ceiling got ruined. they just bought the house and might not have enough funds to fix it, so my hdtv might now be a new cieling for them.:( Unless the lawyers can prove the previous owner covered it up and will have to pay.:D
