hey everyone, so - the other night, thinkin' about nothin' & thebroken a thought came to me: has thebroken achieved so-called 'cult status' ?? And if so, does this make it the first ever internet/new media production to ever enjoy such status ?

is thebroken the first ever cult podcast ??

lemme know what you think about that ..

(eh yea i know this is not a neutral crowd - but think about it - and if you can come up with other such internet shows could also be tagged as cult then let me know - memes don't count!)

Ctrl+Alt+Chicken

Definitely falls under the cult status, as it didn't survive.

perhaps - but i don't know that FOUR episodes scatered over a period of over two years of ctlr-alt-chicken would have enjoyed the same kind of following thebroken has still to this day.

that, and thebroken came in first, makin my point about it being it the 1st of new media shows to get to that point.

They've been busy. And since the PS3 hasn't really been hacked yet the only console they could mod this coming episode is the Wii.

What do you mean "this coming episode"? thebroken is done.

A month or 2 ago on either pownce or twitter K. Rose said yes to a new ep and he would talk to Dan and see what they could come up with. Still doesn't mean anything.

I think that garth marenghi's Dark Place was the first web show to hit cult status.

Console modding is cool and all. But honestly, I wanna see more borderline illegal, more original stuff. The thermite idea was brilliant. I don't care if no one is actually gonna do. It was fun to watch. I also like the amature feel thebroken had. ep.4 wasn't bad though. (Blockfister FTW) When I think of thebroken, I think of vulgar language and numerous drug refrences. Not console modding. Keep thebroken Badass guys!

P.S. Does anyone know what happend to Dan? I loved him but he seems to have gone under the radar.

Well copying games is border line illegal. I understand your point, but console modding has been in half the episodes (3 & 4). So it wouldn't be out of place in episode 5. Maybe they could do a wifi access "hack" or something similar since they had the cell phone blocking in episode 4.

I think he just works at digg and all his focus is there. He was on a episode of the Gazette I believe the Amsterdam eps.

LIES! ALL LIES! Look, Jay told us it wasn't done, Kevin's told us that multiple times, etc.

As for Dan, he's working at digg. He's listed in the about us section.

Oh, and I absolutely hate the excuse of "not enough time" If they really wanted to be making theBroken, they would be making it and we'd have already had episodes.
