Trailer bad, movie probably really kickass and awesome.

I really think don't think that they should've even released trailer if it still has all these bad cgi effects, plus nothing really new...oh well, I guess it got people talking. i still can't wait for the next trailer and I especially can't wait for may 4th :)

Spider-Man 2 sucked. There was some very, very cool action. But the story was horrible, Sam Raimi ****ed up directing it, he ruined Doc Ock, and there were so many movie-breaking moments in that movie.

When I first saw this trailer I was like "OMFG, LOOKS ****ING AWESOME!", but I'm afraid it'll be cool action, sucky everythingelse.

I enjoyed the first two, and and will go see this in the theatre (movies like this NEED big screen action).

BUT, I think Sony did themselves an injustice with the editing on this, pasting action scene snippets together, probably out of order, and definately out of context.

wow. I don't think you can find a bigger spidey fan than me. But this trailer really did show us more than ever what the movie is about. I thought the teaser was a little weak, but that still had more emotional impact. I just had to stand through a minus the bear concert. all their songs sound exactly the same. this trailer was keeping me alive. i came home, eh, nothin much.

I had one of those Seinfeldish "they're not gonna make it!" moments when I saw 5 seconds left and no Venom. I'm thinking he'll play an extremely minor role.

Hopefully the film's arc isn't too much like the trailer's and all the time doesn't get devoted to the plot, cause it seems pretty predictable for now. Methinks Venom is in Act III...also...what kind of cologne does Stallone wear, cause I think I smell a CLIFFHANGER.

p.s. I had a "my girlfriend just said something TOTALLY *****y and out of line, but i'll let it go for now and see how the rest of the evening pans out" type of emotion when i heard that flint ****ing marko might be ben parker's real killer. ugh.

Spiderman two was one of the best movies to come out that year. Possibly one of the best count movies ever made. Besides the hulk. I also agree with you on Superman returns. I thought it was a good nine out of 10. Brandon Ruth really pulled off Christopher Reeves.

i don't mind changing stuff around to make a better story and i don't think we really mind a lot of the stuff they have done so far. i think if you are writing and reading the same story for 30 years something is very wrong with that. things need to change and be refreshed to keep it going and ppl interested


i do have a problem when it happens in a movie franchise. something happens that drives a character and the plot in the first movie and in the third movie we find out it was a lie or not as important as we thought. look at the friggin matrix movies. i can't enjoy the first one anymore because the sequels made it less important by making EVERYTHING part of the machines system of control.

i don't want to go back and watch the spider-man movies after this third one and be all...no sweat pete. that guy you let go...sure he had something to do with it..but the actual guy that pulled the trigger...you will fight him later when he can turn into sand.

how epic will that scene be when he runs into tha alley and chases the car? learning how to websling better to catch the car jacker? i don't think it will mean as much anymore.

first of all, the entire trailer was set up better. It started off slowly builds up to a crescendo. Then at the end when they had the church bells ringing loudly was when they showed venom jumping at the camera. It had a lot more motion to speeches given the trailer also. It's no comparison night and day.

Heres what I said should be done with the movie at the old forums back in march. Thanks to flux for his forum search.

"Heres my Spidey 3 theory. First John Jameson after being dumped by MJ decides to back to space and brings back the promethean x rock and somehow the symbiote in the rock becomes attached to Peter and the black suit is born.

Then enter Eddie Brock he would be played by Topher. Brock will be working at the Bugle but will somehow begin to dislike Peter, maybe Peter does such a good job on the new black suit story that Brock gets fired. Brock then begins his obsession and hatred for Peter.

Flint Marko's daughter, son, or wife will be sick and he will need money to help get well again he comes into touch with Harry who decides he could use Marko's help as he becomes the 2nd Green Goblin to defeat Peter. Peter wearing the black suit disposes of both Sandman and Harry but after the suit nearly killed his best friend Harry. The symbiote then after being seperated from peter falls down the church and finds a great host in Brock and Venom is born. Then as the final shot of the movie Venom is sitting on top the church with his arm over his mouth, As seen in the teaser poster recently released."

Just to make things clear, Venom will have a major role in the film. He's not just a bridge into Spider-Man 4. He'll only be a full fledged villian in the third act, as Peter has the symbiote for the bulk of the movie, but Brock will be around from the beginning establishing their grudge.

In the trailers we see that's It's Eddie Brock who snaps the pics of the Black Suited Spider-Man, later Peter assults him at the Bugel and shoves him into a framed picture of the front page story about Spider-Man's "True Colors" as Jameson calls it. He steals Peter's spotlight.

Anywho, Chris, thanks a lot for the trailer, buddy, but we already have a thread about it :)

it's actually a TOTALLY different trailer in a lot of ways. It's done MUCH better, and yes it totally IS the trailer we all should've gotten. It's smart to save it for after the holidays or something, though, b/c that is seriously as good as it gets as far as trailers go. merging now :)

I was a bit behind on my Geekdrome episodes, and I just watched 51, and heard that they wanted to see Venom in the trailer. Well, there was 2 versions of the trailer: the one we all saw, and a leaked comic-con type version. The leaked one is identical to the other, except the very very end after the Spidey 3 title. I'm with you there, I expect a new bats trailer summer 07. why? because they start filiming in what Jan? so yeah this summer, the dark knight will peek his head and the anticipation will grow for a year. If fact, i have been inspired to make a new thread...batman style.

you know what, he's right. the ACTUAL venom trailer, posted by buxxy's first, (ass! ;) ) is much better than this. the cg's not done and the music is different. i'll go get a life now.
