mythtv scheduling failing

I have successfully installed Mythtv. I have filled the database with my channel. Like the topic says though. I am unable to record my scheduled shows they all say failed. I can select Watch Tv and everything works from there.

What I'm not understanding is where the problem is on the scheduling and how to fix it.

So I hope someone here can help me.

When I used mythtv, you had to subscribe to a service to use that feature. To my knowledge there is no longer a free one. That is the only thing I can think of, unless you do have the service. Then you would need to contact them about the database connection.

The service is called Schedules Direct, http://www.schedulesdirect.org. It does cost $20 for 1 year of data, with a free 7 day test (which will get you 2 weeks of data each time it updates). Zap2It, the old service, stopped their free service for home users and this non-profit company was started to keep the DIY PVR movement going.
If you use over the air digital they will transmit guide data, but it is not required so not all stations do.

you guys miss understand. I have the schedule listing. The problem I'm having is that when I schedule a show to record. The recording fails.
