On amazon anyone know what to search for when looking for connectors and also cable for audio. I have plenty of cable for video from other stuff. I figure they might have something I could use since they have about everything now days. I just couldn't find anything on there just wondering if I searched for the wrong thing.

Before anyone says just go to radioshack or whatever I ask about amazon because I have giftcards there and no cash to spend else where. :D

well http://www.amazon.com/Color-Mini-RG59-Compression-Connector/dp/B000JKYRK0/ref=sr_1_25?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1206824275&sr=8-25 seems to be an example of what you're looking for, as does http://www.amazon.com/Gold-plug-3-5mm-Female-3pcs/dp/B000FFN8HM/ref=sr_1_31?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1206824397&sr=8-31
though to be honnest, there pre-made cables are cheaper than their connectors. as for bare end cable, can't find it on amazon...

On a totally almost unrelated issue, Radio shack havn't sold equipment to go in a radio shack since 2005 or so... not that it makes any difference to me because the UK brance almost totally closed about 10 years ago, (though i found one last summer in a really weirdly offbeat welsh town) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tandy_Corporation#.22Tandy.22_stores for details...

for connectors you're better going to radio shack, or ordering off the website of an electronics supplier... (a US equivalent of http://www.rapidonline.com/ for example http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&productId=229892)

You can get the connectors and wire at Radio Shack and Wal-Mart for dirt cheap, if you want to go RCA or 3.5mm stereo. You can get 50ft of 16 gauge wire for $10 at W-M, and a 4 pack of connectors for a buck and a half at RS. I don't know if you can get a similar deal on Amazon for the wire, simply because I'm too tired to look atm. :)

As for video, if you're thinking of making your own S-Video cable, you're simply better off just buying the cable. The cost of making your own doesn't really justify it, vs. just buying a pre-fab one. The cables by themselves are dirt cheap these days.

Theres an entire episodes of Systm dedicated to this. Its one of the earlier episodes if memory serves. (I'd tell you which one, but I cleaned up my downloads directory a couple weeks ago.)

It is ep 3. I know about the ep thats why I posted here. I was just wondering if amazon had any of the parts because I have giftcards there.

Sounds like a good reason to buy there... :)

If you can find a radio shack that has parts in it anymore, yes. Radio Shack has turned into a cellphone store that also carries various ripoff peripherals.

newark electronics is what i use now...but you haveto be careful with them since they want you to buy in bulk (then again... buying 200 led's isnt THAT bad... you can use em in future projects)
