As smart as I think I am...I find that I am even more gullible. So far this April Fool's season I've totally fell for one. Its from fourhourworkweek.com. I'll let you go there and check it out, but I fell for that hook, line, and sinker.

Luckily I didn't comment on the post like many, many others did (I bet they're kicking themselves now).

Has anyone else fallen for any April Fool's jokes so far this year?

Where I come from tomorrow is April Fool's Day so I'll be on the lookout but historically I haven't had much come in my way, prank-wise.

I'm not a prankster either, so I haven't the slightest idea what I could possibly do to my buddies.

I don't really get that many...
The ones I fell hard for were the ones from Systm and Diggnation...
Those bastards. As for real one, not that many...

I wouldn't say I fell for it really, but college humor redirected to a crappy myspace page of some chick that was saying her dad bought the domain name for her birthday. kinda funny.

There's almost no point even going onto the internet on April 1st.

It's basically, "excuse to be a lying dick" day.

Back in college the campus paper, The Diamondback, would publish a fake front page on April 1st (and apparently still does). Since I was there during the Clinton years, the headline most people fell for was that Chelsea had decided to attend our very own University of Maryland in the Fall. I fell for it for about 5 minutes...

Also, I'm going to be wary of anything the guys say in today's TRS episode.

I have to say... this trailer was epic... even if it is a hoax.

That trailer was only about as epic as anything Uwe Boll has directed. However IGN really have outdone themselves there!

I believed Mike Arrington from TechCrunch was suing Facebook (http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/03/31/why-were-suing-facebook-for-25-million-in-statutory-damages/) until he got to the part where a latte was thrown in his face. Some good ones of the day:

I hope they don't try anything...it's not like podcasts are a day only thing, unlike websites and the like doing something only on today.

Um, did you see Diggnation? I wouldn't put anything past that Albrecht character. :)

On a related note, the beauty that is Veronica Belmont just lulled me into a false sense of security with today's Mahalo Daily (http://daily.mahalo.com/2008/04/01/md090-steve-jobs-interview/); it wasn't until immediately after I clicked Play that I realized I had been had. As Tom Merritt used to say, "Darn you, Belmont!"

The first few moments...saw the foxnews...gave them a minute to get over it, they kept going...I turned it off and won't watch it anymore.

I'm giving until I have the TRS episode downloaded to figure out if if I can put up with them trying it.

April Fools Day marks the anniversary of the day my family moved from Michigan to Tennessee, back in '95. Yeah, we've always said, "The joke's on us."

Are you sure fourhourworkweek.com is an April Fool's joke? Would someone really go through the trouble to write a book and put it on Amazon?

It's a joke on the blog on that site. Read the post before "Happy Japanese New Year". I'd never heard of that site before it was posted here but it's pretty funny stuff.

Here's a particularly good one from the Australian Screen Play blog (http://blogs.theage.com.au/screenplay/archives//009073.html), it's almost believable...

xkcd.com and questionablecontent.net really got me today.
Stupid internet.
And I got rick rolled like, 9 times last night. LAST NIGHT. Prior to April Fool's. Once by LIVEJOURNAL.

I guess I'm just a year round fool.

I guess I'm just a year round fool. The funny part is that I read XKCD, Dinosaur Comics, and Questionable Content. I was convinced I just kept hitting the wrong links. Eventually I figured it out and got to the real comics through Google.

heh...I hadn't realized questionablecontent was in on it...I read that and xkcd, but open them all up in their own tabs. Which means I saw the QC strip (under xkcd) and didn't think anything of it...thought it was just the dinosaur/xkcd that swapped. Oops.

The coolest thing about this vid is seeing some actual MGS4 gameplay (ignoring the Altier costume). It looks so kick-ass, I can't wait for this game!

The April Fool's joke was that he'd secretly been outsourcing his blog as well.

I was all ready to run out to buy some mountain dew and mentos when I watched Systm... and then they went on to talk about perpetual energy.

And the Mahalo Daily #90 interview with Steve Jobs was awesome :(

I enjoyed Blizzard's rendition of their bard class. But to call it an April Fools Joke instead of just plain retarded is stretching it.

Ironically WoW's maintenence downtime yesterday was the biggest joke of all.

Didn't see it till now but that was EPIC regardless. It'll be cool if they really make a movie (trilogy probably) but I doubt it no matter how much the fans whine for it.

When Alex and Kevin (Diggnation) started spouting they were gonna be sponsored by Fox News...I frowned and kept shaking my head thinking WTF and just about said "one less podcast to watch I guess" and as soon as alex said he'd be switching to a MAC, that's what snapped me out of the gullable stupor...
