There is this girl named Susan on youtube, video blogging her experience as a struggling actress.
Why not create a reality show based on her?
Better yet, include me as a guy that wants to date her, but also, writes stuff for her to act out, so like I help coach her in acting, even though I'm no expert. I would like to date her, and so will try to engage her in a relationship.
Anyways, she has a director friend, Kareem, who can manage the directing, and even some of the camera work. I think the show would need a little money from somebody, but check this, since it is such an advertisement of Youtube, and they got $1.5 billion, make them give money, sign a contract.
Reality shows are easy to produce, because it's all about people's actions, and they have to be interesting, and dynamic. So that's what I'll do, provide this creative, interesting environment. Because I'll be in her life, teaching her to act, and yet I have no concept of what I'm doing, but I do seem to have a certain skill. And then, I'll write little plays and monologues for her to act out, and then like really make her do these crazy things to really sell an emotional thing, or whatever.
Anyways, I can work for no cost, just have a camera guy come down on the weekends, or I get a webcam, and just record these little things for my portion of the show. But each weekend, I would drive to LA and coach Susan in her craft. We just need a film crew to follow us around.
The one thing it does is give LUCYinLA a bit of fame, it is a reality show based on an internet personality. So it totally opens up this whole new aspect of the internet culture, but it also makes you wonder in what direction will entertainment go in.
Now, the other thing. Sponsorship would likely not be a problem, because of name drops and the like. But really, this girl already has thousands of people who know about her, have seen her video. She's like the #29 most suscribed person on Youtube. So with the show comes an instant audience, little advertising is needed.
And check this, we fine tune the first season to see how we can make it interesting, and by second season, if we get that far, we will have fined tuned the mechanics of entertainment and revenue, and guess what, Kevin Rose just makes another $100 million paycheck, with a couple smiling guys standing behind him.
I think this has potentional.
