"Extras" (Comedy).
"Life on Mars" (Drama, comedy, action, thriller).

Both great shows, both sadly only two seasons long.

Edit:
"Jekyll" (Drama with the occasional funny line) is great too.

Peep show is absolutely hillarious and one of my favourite show (seasons 1-4 will take you next to no time to watch as only last 6 shows each)

Also check out the existing thread: http://revision3.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15918&highlight=british

I'm sure I've mentioned in every thread we done anywhere near the subject (including one thread I made dedicated to it), but the unquestionable leader in this category is (of course):

TOP GEAR

Dan would like it because of the beautiful cinematography and editing required to make the show awesome. Jeff, I'm sure, would love the three hosts and the wonderful banter between them. Alex, of course, would be into it because of the cars. Although they hate motorcycles, so I dunno... Well, Jeremy hates motorcycles, Richard not so much.

TOP GEAR
Yes, "Top Gear", along with a few other british shows seem to have escaped my mind at the moment. I agree that it's extremely good, in pretty much every way. It's got charm, good presentation, good tempo; everything.

Jeremy, Captain Slow, and the Hobbit !

My favorite ep is where they try to launch the Robin Reiiant into space

I enjoy several of the one you guys have mentioned. I've also started watching the BBC's Robin Hood. Kind of campy but addicting and I've always been interested in legends.

Hmm, British Shows I've enjoyed...

Monty Python's Flying Circus
Whose Line is it Anyway
A Bit of Fry & Laurie
Planet Earth (yeah...the Weaver narrated version didn't inerest me)
Robin Hood
any of Gordon Ramsay's UK shows
The Graham Norton Show

I've been meaning to watch some Red Dwarf and Jeeves & Wooster too.

Top Gear is good...I just haven't kept up. I'm sure I'm forgetting some others.

Edit: I don't do 'top N' lists...

I do often wonder how long it will be until the TRS guys get around to reviewing some of the "imports" out there... Because in all honesty, the remake stuff rarely ends up as good. Furthermore, personally speaking, my Friday night has me glued to BBC America. As do most of my afternoons (watching Kitchen Nightmares and How Clean is Your House)...

One that seems to have been missed is the celeb quiz show QI (for Quite Interesting), hosted by Stephen Fry.

Most of the episodes from the five series aired thus far are up on YouTube, and are a great way to get educated and have a laugh... at the same time.

Little Britain: soooo funny. Probably my favorite show right now.

Also, Coupling(!!) and Top Gear, and I really want to see Dr. Who.

All shows that have already been mentioned, but I wanted to highlight Little Britain (my "The Shield" ?!?). David Williams' cameo in Run Fatboy Run was great: "Do you have any muffins in the shape of a fish??"

Two of my favorite (favourite ;) ) concepts have come from British TV...

"The Giggle Loop" and "The Sock Gap"

Both come from Coupling.
I think about the sock gap every night when I get changed out of my work clothes.

"Socks first, THEN pants."

There is nothing more ridiculous looking than a half naked man in black socks.

And I won't tell you about the giggle loop if you don't know, because simply knowing about the giggle loop is what causes you to be ensnared by it.

I shall paste my list from the other thread

Big Train
Black Books
Danger! 50, 000 Volts!
Doctor Who
Garth Marenghi's Darkplace
Green Wing
Hyperdrive
The IT Crowd
Jekyll
Man Stroke Woman
The Mighty Boosh
Nathan Barley
Never Mind the Buzzcocks
Spaced

But since then, I have a few more shows to add.

Russell Brand's Ponderland
Snuff Box
(Un)natural Acts

And I LOVE watching the 'Big Fat Quiz of the Year' every winter

Top Gear is fantastic. I'm not even a car buff but it is done really well and is fun to watch.
