my squad repeatedly runs into places that obviously are full of dudes, and will stand in front of doors being shot without moving until they die.

it gets to the point where i have to literally tell them to go sit in a corner until i take care of the bad guys.

I guess I must have just been lucky, but I never had any issues with my AI mates on a full play through. They died once or twice during heavy firefights, but that's no big issue.

Maybe it's because I didn't actively use them a whole ton. Mostly I let them follow me around, but even then I think they killed about as many guys as I did.
