View Full Version : TV Shows that need DVDs
What shows that you loved don't have DVD's?
One of my favorite shows was Knights of Prosperity. ABC canceled the show with 4 shows left, brought it back for two shows in the summer... Then canceled it again after 2 shows. I never got to see the last two episodes. That was one of the funniest shows I'd seen in a while.
What shows that you like never got DVDs?

...oh and hey dude.
Wow. While I enjoyed that show when it was on Nick, I doubt it would hold up for me nowadays.
I was going to say "Mysterious Cities of Gold" but after looking at the Wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mysterious_Cities_of_Gold#DVD_release) is seems that it will be coming to the US "soon". Or I could just pre-order the Region 2 DVD from amazon.co.uk; £39.98 for the entire series ain't bad.

Misfits of Science
Automan
Jake 2.0
Burn Notice (though I fully expect that'll happen, and I'm guessing before or during the summer.)
There are a few that they need to finish the series out too:
Airwolf (Season 4...I don't care if it was bad, I'm a completist)
G.I.Joe (Sony bought the rights in mid season from Rhino...pisses me off)
Whose Line Is It Anyway(UK version mainly, but US version too.)

Actually one of the things that kind of brought it back to mind recently was watching Avatar (at TRS's recommendation, obviously) since it reminded me a lot of MCoG.

Screw DVD... Blu-Ray!!!!
Knights of Prosperity is definately a good one. I was looking forward to that since they wanted Jeff Goldblum attached to it as the celebrity to rob. For KoP fans also check out Ed, whcih needs to be on DVD. It's the same ex-Letterman guys.
Some others I'm up for
- Traveler
- Every Andy Richter show (I'll even take Quintuplets which had a few moments)
- Good MTV shows like The State and Sifl & Olly
- Some disney cartoons of the early 00s like Fillmore! and Recess
- All of the Get Smart stuff
- I'm about to ruin my list for everyone but the bravo reality show Blowout. I just though the main character was bat s*** crazy and liked laughing at him.

Witchblade is coming to DVD in July 29th (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Witchblade-The-Complete-Series/9309) ;) I watched the first season, but never saw the second, so I might have to buy it
I'd like to see Andy Richter Controls the Universe, John Doe, Bakersfield PD, Duckman & Dweebs on DVD.
Another just popped into my head, The Inside, I liked that show.

- All of the Get Smart stuff
Get Smart is availble. Picked them up about a year ago. Currently you can only get it from Time Life but it is worth it. All 5 seasons, excellent packaging, extras, etc. Well worth the price.

Yeah I've seen those. I really want to get it, but $200 is really steep. But you do get like 30 DVDs and every episode. I'm saving up my money for it.

I have to say I'm there with you on Ninja Warrior. The one i've been waiting for the last few years is John Doe. I LOVED that show and the cliffhanger at the end makes me angry that it got F'ed over and cancelled by Fox. Love to see "Are you Afraid of the Dark" on dvd (I looked around not too long ago and didn't see it anywhere). And of course "Andy Richter controls the universe". Andy: "I didn't see any Coffee" Random chick that I cant remember her name: <<Throws hot coffee on Andy's Face>> "You see it now!?!"
Awesome

oh i've got one for you. how about the mid-late 70's show "Project Bluebook". it was like the x-files but just about these two airforce guys investigating ufos. it was so cool. perhaps most of you never heard about it, kinda obscure.

Now that they're putting Freakazoid and Fastlane out I have to think of something that they haven't put out yet.
How about: Drive, The Inside, Justice, American Dreams, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Love Monkey, Spin City, and Unhappily Ever After. Oh, and while they're at it... they need to finish the sets if they start them. Having one season out when there's more than that is not acceptable... Malcolm In the Middle.
