Received my 5 free HD-DVD's from my Xbox 360 HD-DVD purchase.
I received an envelope of crap!
"We are sorry, due to a shortage of HD-DVD titles we were unable to ship you the titles you requested. We hope you will enjoy the great HD-DVD titles shipped to you"
I know I marked the Frightners, Italian Job, and Pitch Black

If I hadn't returned the drive to Circuit City for a full refund, I would feel cheated.
I guess I can trade them in somewhere.

Lucky you...at least you got some. I filled out the Blu-ray one, and got mail back a couple weeks ago "you didn't include the UPC"...which I know I did. I checked twice before sealing the envelope and felt again after it was sealed to make sure it was in there. They sent me my envelope and paperwork sans UPC.

Yeah, same thing happened to me with my Blu-Rays. I knew I was mostly getting crap, but was looking forward to getting Babel. Then I finally get it, and got the same message as you did. No Babel, but instead got Click.

1) I didn't plan on screwing anyone. I seriously forgot about the 5 free movies. I filled out the form Xmas morning, laid it on the counter, and my wife mailed the form for me. I returned the drive middle of January after the CES announcement's that HD-DVD was likely dead.
2) I do want to get rid of the HD-DVD's I got stuck with. I have the aforementioned plus Stardust, Top Gun, Bourne Ultimatum, and one other.

I just received my 5 free Blu-Ray movies I sent off for in January. I got Superman, Devil's Rejects, Pirates of the Carribean, Ultraviolet and The Last Waltz. Of those I have wanted a copy of Devil's Rejects, but the video quality is such that I could have gotten it standard def and it wouldn't have made a difference. I picked Pirates over The Prestige since I already own that one in SD. Superman seemed like a decent choice, though I'm not a big fan of the character or the films. The Last Waltz is a Scorsese concert movie about The Band. I don't care about The Band, but I like Scorsese. Ultraviolet because it was between that, SWAT, and The Patriot. I would have picked The Patriot if I didn't have such a deep seeded hatred for Roland Emmerich. Those freebie lists were such crap.

i didnt get anything wit my hd player or blu ray given both are game related(360/ps3)

but we just got a new tv and circuit city gave us 3 blu ray movies...nothing worth while but glad to have a collection growing(13 titles so far)

I did get my 5 free Blu-Ray movies after a couple months of waiting. At one point I received a postcard saying that they were be arriving in about a month's time, but that if I wanted to cancel them I could return the postcard to them, haha, as if!

Superman: The Movie (even though I have the honking Superman DVD boxset already)

Not bad, and I got all 5 that I requested. Woot! It kind of sucks that you have to pick 1 out of each of the 5 groups of movies though, and not just the best 5 movies on there. But yeah. Good times. Free things are nice.

When did you get yours? Both 360 HD DVD drive and the PS3 have been giving away 5 free movies for a long time. I got my HD DVD drive at release and I think they started the free offer with it about 3 months later. If it hasn't been that long for you you might still qualify for the Blu-Ray discs.

Actually I was all set to give links to both programs - but it looks like they're both expired now. :( Sorry! Although I think Circuit City / Best Buy / etc. still run specials where they give you X number of HD/Blu-Ray movies with purchase of a TV or player or both.

i got the hd add on around the time it came out and i got the ps3 lilttle after the xmas when it came out. so i've had the ps3 for over a year now.

I think we will be geting a ps3 for the front room(the 40gb with spider man 3)

any programs for free blu rays with that?

I got mine today, and I can't remember if they were the ones I had requested (3 months back).

Whatever though, I got 2 good movies and 3 decents movies in HD, for $10.

Still waiting for my 5 free HD DVD's to come as well, glad to hear they are actually coming, NOT glad to hear we might not get the ones we actually wanted. Was looking forward to having Italian Job in HD. Guess they are back for seconds...
