I liked the Dr Kiki fire music segment, but the rest of them have me literally falling asleep. I wonder if anybody else wants her sement cut from popSiren.

Wow.. Just the opposite here. Just wanted to say thanks for not dumbing down the content. If I wanted retarded content I would just watch smash lab on Discovery.
Please keep making content for those of use who enjoy learning.
From a second year engineering student, thank you.

The only people that don't like Dr. Kiki are stupid idiots.
Are you a stupid idiot?

Odd, he didn't say he didn't like it, just that he found it boring... To which I would agree, so far other than the fire music one the others have all been boring. Though for me, it's probably because I already know about what she was talking about.

I really have to agree with TooDamnFast here, big thumbs up to you guys for having these very interesting learning section in the show. Being the knowledge-junkie I am, I really do enjoy feeling a little bit smarter after each show! Keep up the smartness!

Even if the subject matter isn't that interesting to me, I still enjoy her segments. Although, I was a bit distracted on this last one...something didn't look right with her eye makeup...but it was still a fun segment.

I really enjoy her segments. I love feeling smarter after watching a show.
One thing that I notice is that she looks kind of uncomfortable in front of the camera. Nothing bad, but I feel bad for her.

I suspect the issue is getting used to the telepromter. Did you watch her outtakes at the end of the show ;)
Intelligent women = major turn-on *cough*Oh yeah ... and she can kick serious ass (BlackBelt in TKD).

She makes me sleepy, too. But, by she, I mean Jessica Corbin and Heather Frank.

I think it's a Pavlovian response to actually learning something.
I say that with a little irony. Doctor Tiki's short colloquia are well put together. Indeed, although I was familiar with the theory and technology surrounding the LED segment, I was, nonetheless, impressed by the presentation.
My only concern is that Dr. Sanford may out of toys to show us. Of course, there are always more vestibular experiments on Naha.

I like her segments. I wasn't very excited for building a microscope, but I've enjoyed all the rest. It's just a matter of what you're into, and whether or not that segment is going to deal with what you like. It could be considered hit or miss I suppose, but for me all but one have been hits.

Dr Kiki herself is awesome, but the science segments are too elementary. I hope they can talk about more advanced stuff in future episodes. I really dont need to learn what I already have in school.

One of them had me totally lost and I couldn't follow -- I must be stupid lol... I've enjoyed all of them though. :)

I enjoy the segments, though in all honesty I haven't a clue what she's talking about in some of them. A couple of times now she's pretty much melted my brain, but that's a good thing. I think what sets internet programming apart is that it's not like traditional TV, it's not TV for stupid people.

Yeah that was pretty cool. I say lets have some more vestibular experiments on Neha, if that is cool and such with the nerd bird.

Doubtful, they wouldn't put her into any real danger. Plus, I think fans would storm the Rev3 castle if anything ever happened to her.

Absolutely NOT! Love the sci. Need the sci. I remember when beakman tossed a bowling balling ball into a pile of flour to show how the comet killed the dinos. Good stuff!

Dr. Kiki's segments are my favorite part of the show. Even on the few occasions when I already understood the principle at hand, I still enjoyed her explanation.

I had to go through a lot of posts to see if others felt the same way I do. Thank God!
Her segment brings the show to a grinding halt. I can't fast forward quickly enough on my iTouch when I see it's her time. I'm sure she's bright and there would be lots of people who appreciate her segment but it SOOOOOO does not fit into the rest of the show. Technically, it fits the show mantra but the segment is no where near the "here's the cool new Web 2.0 site and I'm hot" theme that keeps me tuned in. I'm not saying it isn't interesting but it's way far outside the lines on the rest of the show. I just want to see Sarah Lane wiggle her nose. <kidding>. OK, I want to see Jessica do yoga while she talks about her Argentina "dance" experiences. <not kidding>
Personally, I don't think she's a good "on-net" personality but that can change over time. She's got all the other traits but it is so overdone on the "cool tech chick" theme R3 is trying to portray.
Love the rest of the segments but do yourself a favor and either give her another show or give her the gentle boot.
Sleepy is a nice word. Thanks for the thread whomever started it.
Keep up the rest of the good work you sexy gals.

Most of my favorite popsiren segments are Dr. Kiki segments (the pinhole camera one really stands out).
There are some weeks, however, it seems like the good doctor just doesn't have great content to work with. But she always bounces back.

Dr. Kiki is the only reason I make a point of watching the show. Her segments are meant to be fun and due to their relative simplicity, I see why they are not always well received. The rest of the show's content is just fluff and with this being Rev3's female show, Dr Kiki's segments offsets the stereotype of women and tech not going together. Personality-wise, other than Jessica, the rest are OK. If Jessica ever returns, it will be too soon. They keep trying to make a show work with her and it just fails. I would prefer the most boring Dr Kiki segment over anything Jessica presents.
The second favorite part of the show are the interviews Sarah conducts. Good stuff.

There is a strange chemistry on popSiren, and I don't mean between the hosts.
We watch Sarah and Jess and Heather to see interesting but usually silly or funny things. When Dr. Kiki comes on, she brings interesting but "scientific" things.
With me, I enjoy watching other science shows because they are silly and scientific (think strapping a rocket to a car). I think Dr. Kiki may need to expand into being both informative and a bit more fun/funny. Right now she would make an "enormously entertaining professor."
She may want to look towards becoming a "highly intelligent entertainer" instead if she's wanting to expand as a science contributor on entertainment channels. Just giving constructive feedback.

I like the segments, but if I had to grade them as a "speech to inform" I would say that most audiences find it difficult to follow a "straight through" presentation--there is little difference among audience variables on this belief. People need to have material broken into smaller segments connected by internal summaries--simple reviews, repetitions etc. Some need to hear the info again for repetition. Others just need the "break." More than about a minute without some sort of artificial stop will create strain in the audience member. Think of the last time you heard a quote in a presentation that lasted more than about 15 seconds. People aren't used to listening to speeches anymore so they compare presentations to conversations. In conversations, even about complicated subjects, there are a lot of "you know what I mean?" "In other words . . ." stuff ike that. Presentations need them too, but they need to added tactically.

This is probably a pretty tricky job she's doing, there's a lot of info to get across and because of the medium she can't take a lot of time to do it. Still I think she's doing a good job.
Personally, while I think the show is very cool, it's the Kiki seg that makes it stand out and adds credibility.
