I had a little incident with Bloglines last night with them apparently deleting my feeds. Luckily, I had a backup OPML file of them. Anyway, I was actually looking at alternatives to Bloglines and checked out Google Reader. So far, I kind of like it. Doing a little bit of changing from Bloglines to Google Reader, but it's going to take some time.

So what RSS reader do y'all use?

I use GoogleReader as well. It is pretty nice and integrates with mp3 feeds well. I wish it could do video and .ogg audio natively as well but maybe they will later. One click subscription seems to be being adopted rather quickly too.

I used to use sage as a extension in firefox.

Right now I just use firefox as my feed reader.

T/U pimping-out a little Opera, what a surprise!Opera is the Swiss army knife of browsers - it does it all :)

I wonder if Opera might be better referred to as a Norwegian army knife??

i use the Sage extension of Firefox too. I played around with Google Reader when it first came out, but was not too impressed. I heard they made all sorts of changes, but by then i'd been using Sage for a month or two, and so far have not found any reason to change back.

Yeah, Google Reader still has its problems. For some reason, it just won't unsubscribe from this one feed. I'm back to using Bloglines, though. Only difference now is that I export the OPML file every time I add a new feed to it.

I gave up on readers and all that.

I go to digg.com, and 3 other sites. No real need for RSS right now.

But I really like Google Reader though.

I just use Bloglines. I'm still too lazy to try out Google Reader, adapting to it, and transfering my feeds to it.

Bloglines does the job very well.

Yeah, i've found thats pretty true for me as well; i have Sage, and use it every now and then, but i'm more likely to check out digg and some other sites if i specifically want news. Sage is good for personalized things though, i.e. good deals, specific ebay searches, etc.

Yeah, I'm with you there. Some people don't like the look of Bloglines, but I don't have a problem with it.
