I just picked up a Dualshock 3 tonight, since they're finally making their way to shelves here in North America.. And I didn't feel like importing.

Who else has one? What do you think?

Me, I like it in the games I have that support it right now, but I'd really love to play COD4 or MOHA or something like that with some 'shock. Come on dudes, patch your games!

The added weight makes it balanced a little differently at first, but I'm used to it now. The other thing, maybe I'm imagining it, but it seems like the SIXAXIS stuff is a little less sensitive now in Folklore.. Maybe I'm wrong.

Is there any chance it puts itself to sleep if you haven't used it in 15 minutes? I hate how the sixaxis stays on until the battery dies unless you remember to turn it off. I've never picked up the remote so I'll use the controller for video, and I'll pass out while I'm watching something.

Don't think it does that yet... Would be nice if it did, though. It's something Sony could and should easily add to a firmware update though, which would work for both SIXAXIS and DS3s, seeing as how you can turn it off from the PS3's OS already. Maybe they just never thought of it yet..

I'm the same, but I recently started trying to remember to turn it off and use my wireless USB keyboard because I don't need yet another untethered device accessory to lose, drop, break, etc. so I don't have the Blu-ray remote.

I hate rumble I always turn rumble off in games..it was a fun when I first got it in N64 rumble pack but since it quickly got boring and annoying.

Even for those that like rumble I don't see why you need to rush to import a vibrating controller..if you are in that dire need of something to rumble in your hands turn you cell phone on to vibrate and call yourself from a diff phone or play another console with it or grab a batt dildo....meh.

Well, I didn't import it, and I don't see the need for a cell phone or a vibrating dildo.. But hey, if those two things go hand in hand for you, then uh... Have fun?

I prefer rumble, but I wouldn't pay high prices for it. Once they announced the US price for these controllers the imports didn't look so bad. It was about the same cash wise.

Mine just came in via UPS on Friday morning...it's still at home in the box. I won't have a chance to toy with it 'til Sunday though.

I don't get why this is such a big deal....I mean, its just rumble. Glad they finally got it, but still.

I'd never be extremely excited for it, but I consider it an obvious part of console gaming, and while it's not something I'd pay big money for, it's something I just expect to be there.

Concernig the SIXAXIS controllers, apparently Sony is discontinuing them. Anywho, I do plan on getting a DS3. Even though I've been waiting for this, with the price of games and all, it's gonna be a tough decision. I've been spending major money on games considering that they cost $60 on average. I'll have to see, we should be getting them in my store soon + 10% employee discount might sway me so we'll see. But like I said I DO plan on getting it. And oh yeah I think the DS3 is way rad. The only reason they weren't included from the get-go was because of some stupid lawsuit for "rumble technology" in the beginning. I do miss my rumble though and can't wait to get it back. :D

I have to agree. I've seen some news sites have articles that are written as if the next Final Fantasy game was released, but it's a rumble controller. Honestly, I'm probably not buying one, mainly because I don't need another controller. I am glad they added it, but rumble isn't a massive feature for me, and there are times I'd rather not have the rumble.
