So many books, so little time. This week, there were so many comics to talk about that we had to forgo the e-mails and voicemails!
We discuss Conor's Pick of the Week for April 4, 2008:

*died from alcohol poisoning, okay not really*
I agree that this week was a fantastic week for comics. I only read one bad one and that was Project Superpowers. Conor you called it when you decided not to pick up the book. Major disappointment.

For Josh:
Drew Goddard now writes on Lost, and also wrote Cloverfield.

Just to answer the Drew Goddard question. He wrote for Buffy and currently writes for Lost. He's a producer as well.
He also wrote Cloverfield.
One of my favorite television writers.
EDIT: BenjaminSimpson totally beat me to the punch.

What was up with that voicemail at the end?

Inexplicably, I managed to open the latest Fuzzy Typewriter with the same southern gentleman Darkseid voice that Ron and Josh do on this episode. And I recorded it earlier this week, maybe on the same night that they recorded the POW. Weird.

Um, wasn't that just a link to another blog though?

There was one picture posted directly on the website. Wasn't there long.

I hope you guys are okay. I was so worried! That lady sounded like she really meant business about those Spirit photos. Plus, she also wanted to confirm your manicure appointments for next Tuesday.

From the post on iFanboy.com:
UPDATE - We received a content removal notice in relation to the image we posted for this - Apparently these pics were are unauthorized and unapproved. So, that happened.

So do they expect the people who saw the pictures to somehow forget what they saw and do they expect an image on the web to really disappear. I don't understand PR people and I doubt they understand the Internet yet.
Awesome show, Secret Invasion looks like its going somewhere awesome but is still in transit.

guys, i loved the Justice League International discussion. Conor, it was really good to hear your insight into the series, especially with regards to I Can't Believe It's the Justice League and Formerly Known As the Justice League. Your discussion has sparked my interest enough that i've broken out my old copy of Justice League International and reread it. I can appreciate it a lot more now. I'll definitely be picking up the second volume.
Do you guys know if there are further plans to collect this series beyond volume 2?

In reference to The Boys. It's called "earning your redwings". I would have rather heard that than what you guys said. Yech.

I have no idea about Vol. 3, but the second hardcover isn't even coming out until August.

Yeah I enjoyed Conor's take on the Justice League Series too ... one of my favorite writer/artist combinations aswell ... Mcguire's art sensational ... I would say it is in my top five of series runs .. my fave being the Defalco/Frenz amazing spidey run 250's to 290's?? .
Great podcast guys!!:D:D
