TRSer's, I need a little help. I'm searching for a new "messenger" style bag for my Macbook Pro. I've been looking at the Timbuk 2 bags, but damn, $170 for a bag is a bit steep. What does everyone else use a a bag for their laptops? I would be carrying most of my gadgets with me, Macbook Pro, PSP, iPod, iPhone, (yeah I like Apple products, sorry Alex).

So what does everyone else use?

I know the price is steep but if it's a bag you're going to be using a lot and you're going to be moving your laptop around a lot I definitely recommend splurging now and getting the timbuk 2 bags. Like you I was put off by the price but when I finally got my new laptop I just mentally included the cost so it didn't feel so bad.

Hope that helps. You get what you pay for, although I'm sure our fellow radlings will tell you other effective solutions.

sorry i havent had experience with any messenger bags, but i would tell you to check out computer stores, try some on and see how they feel. Bring your laptop and make sure it fits snug. then go online and look for a better price.

i have the STM Evolution backpack and its awesome. maybe check out their messenger bag. like i said i have no experience with it. check the apple site here: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=88D37B33&nclm=6B67DAF1

also, check online reviews. they can help alot.

This is what I did. I got one of these (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=E171536E&fnode=home/shop_mac/mac_accessories/notebook_cases&nplm=TL991LL/A)to cover my Macbook

And bought a 19.99 Mossimo messanger bag from target. It has a spot for my ipod touch, a pocket for my external hard drive inside the main flap two side pockets for power cables for my macbook. A velcro pocket on the front for my DS lite (Or your PSP). there are little pockets for my cell phone or digital camera as well. they have some new ones with the same if not more space then the one I have now.

Go for the Incase one for the MBP. Simple Google will take you there ;)

Dakine (http://www.dakine.com/) makes some nice bags.

That is where I got mine from.
