Let's see. This will be my third live show. MacWorld 2007 and Beach Chalet. But I've also been to a few other Rev3 things, like the relaunch and, well, I'll count the Pownce party because I'm odd like that. Oh yeah, and I was also at the focus group on your birthday where Jay gave me that bottle opener, which is the highlight of my geeky fun stuff. Oh how I love my Diggnation bottle opener. But not as much as I love you! Oh no, it pales in comparison.

April 30th. Our first Live Diggnation together. We're fucking pathetic. But I love you anyway. :)

They've been very easy to get into. Granted Beach Chalet was kind of a mess in a way as the restaurants was still in use by other patrons. I've been to The Mighty, and don't know that I would consider it HUGE, but I'd suggest getting there half an hour early.

I called the Mighty and they told me that there was some sort of place where you sign up for the show, but details wont be disclosed until a few days before the event.

Does anyone have any more details, or hear about something like that?

They did that for the Rev3 relaunch party. I just went and showed ID. No list or anything. I think it was more or less to get an idea of how many people would be there.

OK booked the flight and the hotel reservations! Woot! Im so excited, my first time to a live show AND to the west coast. It was pretty cheap too, flight + hotel for 3 nights from Ft Lauderdale, Fl was about 350! :D.

So I'm thinking about heading out for this pending approval from my boss. Never been to SF before and can't think of a better excuse! Never been to a live taping before, but been watching since episode 1 and have always wanted to go.

Where is The Mighty located at? If I go i'll be flying in and wont have transportation so trying to find something close. Looking at staying in one of the SFHostels. Unless someone has horror stories about that place. Also looking for other things to do as i'll be heading out alone, don't know any other Digg fans in Phoenix!

Get your hotel in order, and take a cab. It's a fine area, just one of the few without a lot of nearby mass public transit.

Don't stay at a hostel unless you're bringing nothing of value.

How long will you be staying, and in what part of the city? Can give you ideas after knowing that.

I don't really plan on bringing anything super valuable, certainly nothing that won't be on me at all times(phone, etc). I just like the community feel of hostels and the ones in SF seem nice. Some places they are really shady. I would probably stay at the City Center location at 685 Ellis St. And the tentative schedule is fly in Tuesday, Fly out Sunday(might move to Monday depending on lodging)

The SFHostels have fully private rooms for about $60 a night right in the thick of the city. Half the price of any other hotel in the area I could find.

Yeah, there'll be alcohol, it's normally a club, so definitely will be 21+. When I went to the launch party, it was 21+ then as well.

There as a big ol' argument over the St. Louis taping not allowing people under 21. Let's try to avoid that again.

Dude, that blows. Well, another year! But you can always come out anyway and kick back outside until they come out and try to sneak in. At the Rev3 party, they checked my ID once, and after a couple hours, going out and coming back in wasn't a big deal. So you can spent the night at least trying. :) Of course don't drink so they don't get in trouble if you do anything stupid.

Well we weren't too sure about hostels, we've never stayed in one. We usually rent apartments in whatever city we go to when we're 3-4 people.

If you're still up for planning a pre-show get-together, I'm going to suggest we find somewhere where people under 21 can go. Perhaps after the show we could hustle the guys into heading there and hanging out with the under-21 fans who didn't get to go to the show.

Hey Guys, I'm going to the Web 2.0 conference in San Fran on the 22-25, and I just found out my flight ticket is open ended, so I can change the outgoing fly and stay in town another week to see the live show.

My question is, When, Where, Time? Are there Before/After parties? It appears its at "The Mighty".. but what time, whats the address. What time do people show up? Are there before parties.. of so, when, where, and what time??

You would get off on 16th and Mission. You can take the #22 Fillmore or your can hail a cab from there. If you do take the #22 Fillmore, get off on 16th and Potrero and walk a block to Utah St. Mighty is between 15th and 16th and Utah.

Yeah, the third-most-expensive in the US. Or is it second? Pretty much anywhere to anywhere have always been under about $15 for me though.

If anyone will be driving from/through phoenix to go to the live diggnation and has an empty spot I will gladly chip in on gas! Also if anyone has any idea's on how to get cheap travel from phx to sfo that would also be appreciated!

Try AmTrak or Greyhound.

Sadly Amtrak doesn't come through Phoenix(apparently we're not a big enough city to warrant a train station, go figure) and a Greyhound is about as much as driving out there myself, which I may actually do if I can secure access to a car.
