"April Fools, the nice way to say F. U."
Please never waste a full episode on April Fool jokes again.
Love the show otherwise.

Some people take things way to serious. Look at it this way this showed you how to get people on April Fool jokes next year.

just to point out, the download was dated march 31st and i downloaded it on the 2nd or 3rd of april.
thought i've probably seen the last of manually deleting time-wasted rev3 podcast downloads when tekzilla finally separated their daily feeds. but, questionable/implausible segments on systm followed by the april fools in the end proved me wrong.
this post has nothing to do with panties. just pointing out the time-wasting factor for viewers.

Even tho i generally don't like April fools jokes, i thought Systm's was hilarious. I'll admit that i bought the Mt. Dew + Mentos = green light from hell... and almost went to buy the materials to try it. Luckily i finished watching the episode before getting lunch and saved myself from embarrassing myself in front of my coworkers.

Just to point out ... that a release date on the 31st of March was actually 1st of April in much of the world already, and the fact you downloaded it 2-3 days later doesn't remove the fact that it was an April First release.
The IR perpetual energy was kinda lame, but the Mt Dew/Mentos light was awesome. I'm guessing you are just a little frustrated because you had Mt Dew shoot all over your Mom's basement when you tried it yourself.

Has Rev3 or most show producing companies really cared what time it is in other timezones? I think the main problem that people are having with it was that it was an entire episode dedicated to the "April Fools" stuff. I think many would be fine with it if it also had a real project. Even though it was fun, in many ways I can see how they would feel cheated by not getting "real content"

I didn't like it either. They are increasing ads and begging for us to buy from their sponsors yet they go and blow a bunch of resources on a pointless show. Just gonna be cancelled 1 episode earlier now. April fools jokes are fine, but a whole episode of fake projects? Waste of resources imo.

good lord...why are you people complaining about a FREE SHOW...

Don't be such a baby. It was a JOKE! Don't get your panties in a twist because you feel for it hook, line, and sinker. The fact that they managed to fool so many people speaks of the joke's brilliance. Maybe you're just jealous that you weren't intelligent enough to come up with one of your own?

actually, it isn't a free show. Notice the ads? You might have the desire to respond that the viewers still don't pay anything, but last time I checked companies wanting to do ads do so because people will watch it/listen to it. Sounds like a price to me.
MD2389, Wow. Think you are smarter than everyone else? I wasn't fooled, because I've seen the Mt. Dew thing before and went "oh yea, it is around April Fools time" It was mildly entertaining, but for me and others we would have rather at least also had a real project, and not JUST April Fools stuff.

I would be willing to bet if you donated to rev3 what the sponsors pay rev3 to have their ads on the network they would stop running them. When you watch free broadcast tv are there commercials? Yes! Even on cable networks(that you first have to pay for cable) have commercials. Heck now days when you are pumping gas you see commercials on the gas pump. Its everywhere.

Technically, yes. My downloading means they can report +1 viewer. Most companies placing ads usually do it on # of viewers. Just because I'm not handing them money doesn't mean I'm not paying for it. I, maybe unlike you, actually watch the ads and am therefore paying them with my time. People seem to forget that before money, we called it "trading". You have items or services that you wanted to give to someone else for another item or service. Money is just a value and is designed to be easier to handle and standardize the economy. I bet you are also one of those people that assumes that if an item has a price tag you can't negotiate the actual price?

Speaking as someone that actually HAS taken physics courses, and has a background in electronics, yeah I think its a fair bet that I do know what I'm talking about. That being said, since I don't have an extensive knowledge of chemistry, I was curious about the mentos/mt dew thing. The 100MPG segment didn't fool me at all because I had seen something very similar tested on Mythbusters a while back.
I don't see what the big deal is. So they used one episode to pull a fun prank on us. Suddenly its the end of the world, because a few retards couldn't take a joke? Furthermore, what would be the point of having a REAL project in an episode thats supposed to be a joke? If the other projects are a joke, wouldn't that make people that didn't know any better think that its part of the joke as well?
Get over it.

LOL what is the total time worth of ads is on during the show. Maybe 2 min? With that being said I figured my per minute rate while I am working is $1.33 per minute. So at my rate it is $2.66 per show. A small price to pay. And it could be but I doubt your per minute rate that you actually get paid for is over $1.33. If you ask what is my time worth I could not even put a price on it but in my professional life it is $1.33 per minute.

Oh, you're one of those people who doesn't like to be included in "one of those people" comments. I will say on the same note as you, you don't know anything about me either, yet it seems you may have made some judgment calls based on what I typed and how you read it.

I'm sorry if you took my "think you are smarter than everyone else" comment the wrong way. I was referring to the fact that you just assumed that people didn't like it because they were fooled, but that you, unlike everyone else, was too smart to be fooled.

You are correct, my pay doesn't work out to $1.33 an minute. Nor was I getting to the point that one viewer makes a big difference. 1 person is far far less than the total audience, it would make a big different if half the audience got turned off by something.
Also, to everyone still reading this thread... I never said I didn't like the episode or thought it was a wrong thing to do, like you all seem to assume I do. I was just pointing out why some people might not have liked it and that they could have also included a real project. That seemed to be the real issue for others, that it was just fake things.

The ones that are complaining the most were most likely the most fooled and are too embarrassed to admit it. I know I was and I have been around a while (actually two whiles) Enjoyed the show for the ingenuity of coming up with it. Look forward to next year's April Fool's show.
