I love it... sorry.
There was that comment about "It's not on the Jumbotron so no rickroll". That's garbage. Ya it would have been good. But they were BOO'ING ... BOO'ING!!!!!
They knew they lost the battle. The internet > NY Mets Stadium. Plus we got the Phillies as well. Who knows, I think the world got rick rolled. I think that should be entered in the Guiness Book of World Records for the largest Rick Roll.
Find out how many people watched the game during the 8th inning... I think it'd be a good starting point :)

I don't get it, they played Rick Astley on a loud speaker. There was talk of this days before it happened. I Rick Roll is only a rick roll if it's a surprise. It doesn't work if you're expecting it.
The rick roll is officially dead.

i dubt that. i think cnet wanted to wage war against the rick rolling phenom but idk if it worked. im pretty sure that the youtube april fools joke and this just kind of blew everything up. seeing as how we are all geeks here we knew about it for a while but most of these other n00blets just found out about it now. so with that in mind RICK ROLL MUST DIE.

I got a message on myspace from my little cousin a few days ago that said "lol do you know what a rick roll is?".
When I saw that I knew it was dead.

And on the actual video, you can hear them say over the loud speaker something like "here comes a hit from Rick Astley" So, it really wasn't surprising.

I don't think Rick Rolling is dead. I still love watching people like the Mets get Rick Rolled. Or like the person Rick Rolling their classroom for their assignment. It's all still funny to me.

Hey check out this new video of the game. A digger was there and videoed the whole thing with his...... OKOKOK i won't do it. It's just so tempting to Rick Roll... I don't think its dead and personally i enjoy when i get rick rolled. There's always a smile on my face to see those HUGE sunglasses and white boy moves.
