Well, I learned some rather shocking/upsetting news today about my mom. She's been having headaches and got some tests done. One of the tests reflected what appeared to be a 3mm aneurysm in her brain. She went to a neurosurgeon today and he confirmed that it is indeed an aneurysm.

We're not exactly sure what will come of this yet. She still has to get some more tests done to better determine what the next plan of action should be. Regardless, it's really upsetting and scary.

If it's any comfort, it's small, so was caught early. Small ones aren't as likely to burst. As long as action is taken now, which it sounds like it is, then her prognosis is good.

Holy shit man!

I feel your pain. Not knowing what's going to happend is probably the worst thing. Feeling that you're loosing control of things makes your whole world collapse. (Happened to me twice this week)
Good thing the dectors caught the aneurysm in time.

Keep us updated...

5 years ago my grandmom died of this. At first she was under stress, she too complained of headaches, then one day she fainted and lost conciousness, she was taken to the hospital. During the last few days she was alive, she didn't recognise people, she basically lot her mind. She bled to death. Thank God, your mom was diagnosed early.

This is not trolling......I as many of you all as well, should know that life gives us problems, we all go through them. Kyle, we are here for you man....It is in your best interest to keep us updated. After all we are all like family :)

*UPDATES*

My mom get some more tests done today. These tests will give a more definite answer on the size of the aneurysm. Once we are more clear about how big it is EXACTLY we'll be able to better determine the next course of action.

I forgot to mention this, but the only reason we found out about the aneurysm is because I encouraged her to get tests due to a headache she had about a week ago. She came in my room and didn't look right and mentioned she had a headache and I had a funny feeling about her. I immediately did research on the symptoms of an aneurysm and went over the symptoms with her. She didn't exactly have any of them but I still didn't feel right about it and encouraged her to go to the hospital. She didn't go because she started feeling better but ended up going to the doctor a day or so later to get some tests done. When we got those tests back it reflected the aneurysm. The doctor said the headache she had probably didn't have anything to do with the aneurysm. She pretty much got lucky- it's a good thing she got the tests done or else we wouldn't know until it possibly ruptured.

With all that said, let me explain some MORE things going on in my life at the moment:

*My dad just recently got home from having a partial knee replacement surgery. He's doing great though

*Yesterday, my grandfather was admitted to the hospital due to his heart. A little background info- a few months back he had some stints put in his heart. He's currently in the hospital getting more stints put in. The doctors said if he didn't end up coming into the hospital immediately they think he would have had a massive heart attack that probably would have killed him.

So, as you can see this is a pretty stressful time for me. I'm not sure if all of this is bad luck (all of this stuff going on) or good luck (catching everything early on before something bad happens/ my dad doing well). I'll continue to keep you guys updated though. Thanks for all of your support.

Tons of hugs. Aneurysms usually aren't diagnosed until it's too late because they're mistaken for headaches. We're here for you and everything you're going through.
