Please please please don’t take this as a personal attack or anything (just trying to avoid getting everyone fired up like last time.) But I don’t think it’s “best of all” time contest. Look at how the artist one finished up with McKelvie and Chiang making it to the end. I think pretty much everyone votes however they want to interpret the list (ex: personal fav, best of, hottest thing now, just trying to rile up MikeG ;)).

of course im speaking just for myself, but in its 39 issues, i've had far more enjoyment readin Bendis's New Avengers than i've ever had reading a Fantastic Four story. I can't even remember an Invaders story and i don't think they've showed up too much in continuity since. Just because something came first doesn't mean it's better.
That being said, i understand your reasons, i just don't agree with them

Perhaps because the New Avengers are not the "classic" Avengers. In the same way the current JLA is not the "classic" JLA. A lot of love is attached to Classic Avengers.
