What's the oldest comic book you own? I can't limit it to one issue, but I know I have several Harvey Comics from the early 1960s - 1962 or 1963.

Batman 101 (1956). Found it in a thrift store for $30.00 bagged and boarded. The best part was all books were 1/2 off that day so I got it for $15.00.

Probably some Batman and Superman comics from the late 50's.

My 3rd oldest comic, and by far my most prized, would be:

Avengers, Vol. 1 #4 (March 1964)

I don't have a scan of it, but my oldest is Batman #150. It features a tale where Batman and Robin get in a car crash, lose their masks in the process and their secret identities. The best part is they go on the run, taking up new aliases and disguise themselves by dying their hair. Don't worry though, they still fight crime and no one, and I mean NO ONE, suspects that they are really Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne.

...gotta love it.

I used to have some batman and daredevil issues from the 70's. But as of right now it's a 2nd printing of the Swords of Cerebus trade which goes all the way back to '82. :) lol

I think it's Amazing Spider-Man 101.

I have this one from '71. Spider-Man goes on the Johnny Carson show. I think it cost me like fifteen 1988 dollars, despite the fact that its cover looks like its previous owner was an angry dog.

Probably some old Pre-Perez Wonder Woman issues. I don't know really. I am not a collector, per se.

Great issue! Possibly my favorite Ditko Spider-Man art along with Annual #1.

It's not my oldest comic, but it is my favorite (and most valuable):

I don't think my oldest comic books count as comic books. They are the comics from the Sunday papers when they used to come in comic book form. I wonder if they are worth anything. I got them from my great grandmother and are of sentimental value anyways.

Those are in all probability comics from the Platinum Age, pre-Golden Age, so before 1938. That's mostly what comics were back then, collections of daily comic strips. I'm sure that they have more than just sentimental value.

This may be my oldest I am not entirely sure.....I bought it at a garage sale in mint condition for $10!!!! I almost had a heart attack when I found it, it also came with Marvel Age 1-12 and some other random comics that were wrecked. I was nice enough to hand the old lady a $20 and say keep the change....she thought I was so nice to do that.....:)

First appearance of "the" Hawk & "the" Dove is mine. I've got most of their first appearances(my copies are in no where near as good a shape as this one).
