It's the show so good, they had to do it twice!
We discuss Ron's Pick of the Week for April 11, 2008:

I'm so sorry guys, that sucks!
I was really impressed with Conor naming off the Batman villains until I found myself wondering if he has a shelf of action figures lined up neatly.
Good show, seemed longer than usual which is good. Maybe it's the allergy medicine. Maybe it's just hearing the pick of the week for the third time but Ron's enthusiasm for the comic seems boundless.
Thank you again for all the work you put into iFanboy. You are the tops.

Every show should be recorded twice. And you should drink exactly as much before them.

But then we'd have to pee in the middle...

Just pee off to the side.

I'd go with a leg-bag in that type of situation.

Me just reading the word pee makes me feel like a child.
Is this the podcast on iFanboy or Revision3?

This is the weekly (every sunday) audio podcast we do on the week's comics. It's not a Revision3 show perse, but we put a post up here so people can talk about it.

Surprised no mention of the excellent Booster Gold. Given the recent pimping of the Giffen-era JLE/I and the ending of this week's Booster. Whoo-hoo!
Booster Gold has been amazingly consistent and often brilliant. Used to be Action Comics was the Johns book people would forget about- now I am inclined to think Booster Gold may be in that niche.

I was really impressed with Conor naming off the Batman villains until I found myself wondering if he has a shelf of action figures lined up neatly.
I'd like to imagine that he has that list scrawled all across one of his walls over and over in thick black marker.
In other news. Tired shows are so so so funny.

I started listening to the show at lunch today and even though I'm only half way through, I think this is going up as a favorite of mine.
I was sipping coffee when Josh started the podcast off with the McConaughey quote. I had to wipe off my steering wheel.
Thanks for that, Josh!

Yeah I was waiting in my car for my g/f when I was listening to the podcast and I started to crack up... a guy was sitting in the car next to mine and I'm pretty sure he thought I was crazy.
Fun times.

On http://www.valiantfans.com, David Lapham had this to say for anyone purchasing a copy of Young Liars:
Yes it is a Vertigo book, and I'm trying my G#$damn hardest to make sure it's not cancelled. I'm putting my heart and soul into this thing and I'm trying to spread the word.
Thus here I am. Being a novice at posting I hope I'm in the right spot. (Who knew there were so many Valiant fans gathered in one spot? I guess you all did, but ask the checkout lady at Vons. I bet she didn't....) But I just wanted to thank anyone spreading the word about Young Liars and everyone who will give it a try. It would mean everything to me to make this book a success. Not only because it's my living and my passion but also because it would allow me the freedom to get back to Stray Bullet, if even only on a limited basis.
Any advice from anyone about how I can get the word out within this forum and elsewhere, please let me have it.
I don't know if this sounds like a swell idea to anyone, but let me throw out this offer:
Anyone who tries out Young Liars and sends it to me with a SASE will have the comic returned signed (personalized or not) along with a headshot sketch of any character you choose. Could be a Young Liars character, Stray Bullets character, Your favorite Valiant character, etc.
If anyone's willing to risk sending me a Valiant comic I can sign those, too, but other than promising not to rip, fold, or crumple your comic personally and packing it back in your mailer, I can't take any other responsibility for what the good folks at the PO might do to it. So be careful.
Spread the word on this. I'll do this for anyone who tries out YL.
Send all comics to:
David Lapham
P.O. Box 3911
Glendale, CA 91221-0911
Much thanks to eternalwarrior for his wise advice and for getting this post going.
I'll check back here if anyone has any questions about the book. And I apologize in advance if this is not the best or proper place for a post like this.
Talk about an awesome offer!

That is sweet… I may buy a second copy of the first issue to send in, because I'm paranoid. Very cool, though.
