How are you guys liking this book so far?
I really enjoyed the two first issues. I like Millar's take on the characters and his big ideas, and Hitch is almost always good.
But I got a little confused reading the third issue.... I mean, what's up with the CAP-robot changing size so much? Compare the panel where The Torch is flaming him, to the splash on one of the last pages, where the robot is suddenly Monster-tall. Did I miss anything? Was that explained? If not, it irks me a little. Not enough for me to drop the book, but my suspension of disbelief just got broken a little bit, and I hope the CAP will be a little more consistent in coming issues...
Thoughts?

I think I'm going to go back and pick up the Milar/Hitch issues that have come out and see what's going on in this book. Great creative team, but I've just never followed the standard FF book for whatever reason (Ultimate FF I follow in trades and dig though).

Next time I can make it to the shop (don't know when that'll be) I'll see if they have them in still and report back. I doubt no matter how good a job Millar does though that I'll be able to stay on the book for too long after they leave...FF just don't appeal to me.

I'm gonna have to check these books out as well, I've been meaning to for awhile.. just haven't gone through with buying them.

We talked about this a lot in the previous weekly discussions. Reactions were mixed.

I really like the new creative team and direction. Even so, the third issue was probably the weakest of the three. I have great hopes for the series. One so-so issue doesn't doom it for me.

I've never really been a Fantastic Four fan, but the week that the first Millar one came out, i tested it and didn't like it a whole ton, but figured it was just due to the fact that I've never really gotten into them. Then when the second one came out i had a slim stack and just threw it on to give it another chance, liked it a little bit more. then this issue i got because it was also a thin week, and i enjoyed it quite a bit. i like where it's going and i feel proud to read FF, before i've always felt like i was missing out on some key players in the MU

i enjoy millar's work and hitch was awesome on ultimates but this isn't doing much for me. i think a lot has to do with the characters. i never really enjoyed the ff and this story is no exception (although i did love the thing saying "are you frickin' kidding me?!?" when he slide off the cliff last issue). the whole "big science" stuff doesn't resonate with me, the threat feels clichéd and i've always thought reed richards was a bit of a douch.
I'm also not too impressed with Hitch's work on this book, i think he may be using a different inker but i think his work looks better with darker inks and colours. plus it doesn't feel half as detailed as his work on the ultimates.
I know that's a lot of complaints but i don't totally hate this book and i'll probably stay on for the entire millar/hitch run, i just don't think it's as good as everyone else i guess

it's really great looking.
story-wise it's interesting but it's not been anything special.

Not at all what I expected it to be and 3 issues in now I would probably be dropping it if i didn't pick up such few books. My LCS guy tells me Dr. Doom is in the next arc so hopefully it will get better...
