Are there any singers out there who's voice to you is just so beautiful that you would fall for them for their voice alone?

For me, my biggest vocal crushes would be Sheryl Crow and Sade.

Neither one of them really are the type of woman that I usually am attracted to (they both could use a sammich), but nonetheless, they start singing, and I start falling.

There's two songs by Sheryl Crow that really do it for me:

I know why (http://youtube.com/watch?v=LTnGB6v-Z9w) (this is the only video I could find for the original version)

Home (http://youtube.com/watch?v=79xuq6fJKpw)

The two that really do it for me from Sade are:

Never as Good as the First Time (http://youtube.com/watch?v=NCihQPnma64)

Is It a Crime (http://youtube.com/watch?v=LljZcD07URI)

What about you folks? Men or women who's voice you've fallen for?

Wendy Matthews (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zfqusp7s5o0) - The Day You Went Away ... especially the version she performs in French (which I can't find anywhere online to link to).

Imogen Heap *ducks flying "anti-hipster" cup*

Justification: That Frou Frou disc was fantastic and Hide and Seek is still a masterpiece. Fuck the OC. They didn't break her, the internet did. Not to mention she's increidbly beautiful. I fell for her back when I heard "I Must Be Dreaming" by Frou Frou in an AMV... I'll see if it's on You-bem Tubem... (Found it)

I'm tempted to rip her off on this... I have a decent harmonizer and personally, something like this would be simple but so beautiful if it could be pulled off right.

actually... fuck it... she did it almost perfectly. I couldn't improve on it if I had the rest of my life to do it.

WRT falling for a voice ... when I was travellign around UK 13 years ago, we took a trip to Ireland (Republic of, not Northen). Every time a red headed Irish girl opened her mouth, I fell for her ... and having a strong Australian accent, the attraction was mutual.

Unfortunately my girlfriend (who I was travelling with - and is now my wife) put a damper on anything happening :)

Was shocked to discover she had a voice when I saw Elf. It's rather sexy and badass. She's cute too, but man, I'd find a telephone pole with a voice like that, cute.

Buy her new album with M. Ward. Volume One. They're called She and Him. It's amazing.

What? No "Nothing Compares 2 U"? Seems almost obligatory. That and her tearing up a picture of the Pope on SNL.

I deliberately posted some non clichenead. (haha) so you wouldn't be distracted by all that and just listen to her awesome voice.

You know, i dont even know her name, cause its not like i could ever meet her, get to know her or be with her. But the chic from portishead has a voice that just cuts right down to my core and completely disarms me. Its like the whole world slows down and is at the pace of her song for a moment. So sad, so deep, so beautiful.

Also, i dont exactly like Enya, but everytime i hear that song she sings from lord of the rings " may it be " i swear i cry lol. It almost never fails. " May it be when darkness falls, your heart will remain true.... You walk a lonely road, Oh! How far you are from home .. a promise lives with in you now " ... guaranteed water works.

I know, i seem to find myself attracted to woman that embody the 50's or something anymore. Zooey in Elf the way she sings, that like 50's sorta deep or .. i dont know.. is so nice and the way scarlet johanson looks, she just has the 50's beauty, its weird.

There's a rare song out there called "Better Things". Try to find that it's awesome. I'm quite the portishead fan, have the 3 albums and about 6 extra cd's of singles and remixes and rarities. I've even been to Portishead, albeit, coincidentally, as it was on my way to Wales from London.

Also, rumours are, that Portishead has been writing a new album !!!!!! :)

Love the strong 50's women vocalists too Iccy, especially the oens that rocked the Savoy.

Hello Dolly isn't my fav song, too simple, popular and repetitive, but damn it's nice to heard her do it.. .. . had no idea Julia Stiles made her own movie.

I had no idea there would be this much Zoeey singing clips available. My pants are tight. I'm sorry, but female wise, are there really that many voices likes Zooey's out there ? I'm in love and now I'm going to have musical sexual dreams dammit.
