revision3.com bloat?

it's not that it's not pretty or that it's a total functional mess, but rev3's new site seems rather bloated/slow on my machine. And no, I don't run an old p3 from 5 years ago. My laptop is quite decent.

I dunno that I wanna have thumbnails or everything / have to load the flash player if I wanna get to the d/l link / too many ads ...

anyway, sumthing don't feel right. I just thought i'd voice that opinion.

Rev3 loads very fast on my computer(s).

Its a little slow. No matter what PC i try it on, its still slow. I dont think there is a way to avoid it though with the way the layout has to be for the content and then the fact that a lot of people are on it all day.

Just suck it up. Ill say its getting better and the forums are much snapper too.

it does load *fine*, eventually. I guess this was more of a rant about how i feel there is too much unnecessary *bling* on rev3's site (imo) and also about a few navigation oddities/nuisances..

i guess im just a big fan very stripped down, close to text-only web sites. Revision3.com just gives me a TAD too much a battle to get the *content* im lookin fer.

Anyway, just me 3 cents .. no biggie

Sometimes at work the forums or blog won't load up. But I did a traceroute (like any good network geek would do) and it isn't Rev3s fault. Just some crappy routing in the ISP at my work...

Works fine every where else, so its all good.
