Hey guys,

I was just wondering what is your views on Avatar the Last Airbender. If you are fans did you go to the panels at NYCC this year?

I'm a big fan of it my self and I really look forward to the live action trilogy being planned out by M Night Shyamalan. The mini-comics they have with the DVD disk releases; while promotional in nature, has some pretty wicked artists. The artists in particular have been shown off in several anthology comic artist collection books two of which you showed in previous episodes.

I know Kahuna and myself are big fans of the show. Think Luthor is too. The iFanbase (and especially the TRS fans) that have seen the show love it. However, whether or not the iFanboys watch is not known.

There is discussion of Avatar scattered about these here forums. Search a bit and you'll find plenty of fans*.

*Especially over at TRS.

The show rocks. Anyone know when new episodes are back out? The show has been on an unusually long break.

Avatar might be the highest quality cartoon I've ever seen... (I suppose Batman: the Animated Series gives it a run for its money.)

I've only watched the first season, but I fell in love with it... the only reason I haven't finished up is just lack of access... Maybe I'll just plunk the cash down and buy it.

And M. Night Shyamalan is my fav filmmaker... I can't wait to see what he does with this world... definitely my most anticipated movie of the next few years...

Avatar is amazing. Definitely one of the best animated series I've seen, trumped only by Batman: TAS, and a few select others.

It's cool that there are fellow fans of avatar in the posting boards and thats cool but I wanted to see if I could gain the attention in particular of the iFanboy Boys and see what their view was in particular.

I'm a big fan of TRS as well and so they have openly stated what they feel or think about avatar in that it is the best show ever .... better than even THE SHEILD.

Can't speak for the others, but I've never seen it.

I've watched and seen TRS rave about it and I've heard them directly rave about it too...

that said, I've never seen it.

I *did* see someone at the Nick booth at the NY ComicCon dressed like one of the characters with a big ass head that, honestly, freaked me the F out.

Yeah, it was really disturbing. It was basically a kid-sized person dressed up as the main character, but with a big fake head. It was doing Tai Chi.

I've heard good things about the series, and one of these days I'm going to check it out on Netflix.

Last Bender I went on lasted three nights in Canada upon where I consumed something around 5 bottles of liquor, a case of beer, and a few ounces of Absinthe during that period...

... wait, I'm confused now...

I will never forget the first time I saw it.. My mom was watching it and was telliing me about it..

I was thinking of getting her something when I was at the Nick booth.. but that line was outright ridiculous!

As Labor stated, I'm a fan.

It's some good stuff. You got the silly kid crap on the surface, but under it is some seriously heavy crap.

M. Night's making a live action version in Philly soon. They're supposedly making it into a Trilogy of films, so I'm pumped for that!

I'd never heard about it until I met Jeff last year and he was on me about it while we were eating BBQ. (Yeah, I roll like like that.)

It's way down on my Netflix queue, and there's a little part of me that doesn't believe it can be as good as all that, but I'll get to it at some point.

And Ron and Paper aren't kidding. Freaky stuff...

My brother (used to be, at least) is a big fan of the show... For him, it's the must see TV... I've caught bits here and there... It's a spiffy idea, if you ask me... The thing that made it a really good show is the end of second season... That was straight up BALLSY what they did there and I gave them tons of my respect for doing that on a kid's show... I'm interested to watch, but there's somethings in it I just don't care about it...

So I like it, but it's not high on my list...

I really enjoy it but I've never made a concerted effort to watch it. It's a really great surprise watch. Ytv(our Nickelodeon network) occasionally will have a marathon where they will play three or four episodes together and that's always good. It's definitely worth watching.

Saturday was all about this guy:

Lots of plush versions and at least one girl in a really awesome costume. I'll check out the show just for this Appa creature.

There were a lot of Avatar fans at the convention, and they were dedicated. A lot of it seemed really strange, but you could tell they were having a blast. I'm happy they had a venue where they could come together and enjoy their fandom. Made me smile.

The only time I actually choked up a bit was Iroh's story in the episode with the little vignettes, Tales of Ba Sing Se. Something about the way they said goodbye to Mako got me all choked up. Classiness!

The most "kiddie" parts of Avatar are in the show's slapstick jokes. But even then it's never too crass or inappropriate due to the simple fact they are children.

A lot of depth and character in the series. Iroh's total arc was wonderful. So satisfying when he does that thing, ya'know what I'm talking about, when they got him locked up and then you know what happens. Am I rite?

I still maintain that Avatar sets the bar for action scenes; live action, animation or whatever. They are not just exciting set pieces- they are logical and imaginative. That's how all action should be written.

Avatar <3 4ever.
