From the little teaser, I can already tell it is going to be bad. Unlike Marvel vs. Capcom and X-Men vs. Street Fighter, this seems to be less about adapting an awesome fighting platform into a fast paced fighter and more about just the gimmick of DC Heroes and Mortal Kombat characters. Also built into this idea is something that I don't think Midway will be able to get around. One of the most significant aspects of the MK series was the fatalities, but having Batman decapitate someone with a batarang would be so off the mark. That said, if they don't give them fatalities people will complain. This is just gonna be another DC licensed game that critics will pan and fans will loathe.

Actually when I first heard about this game, the first thing I thought of was fatalities. Rumor has it that they may lessen or take out the blood entirely and eliminate the fatalities.
Honestly I think this is someone's attempt at trying to cash in on the MvC and XvSF fame.

Who knows, this might turn out to be a good game... but I'll wait and see when more trailers and game footage comes out. My opinion at this time is that it's a waste of time and money.

Also the Mortal Kombat game mechanic is one of the worst ever devised. Marvel vs. Capcom worked because the gameplay; already seen in Darkstalkers, SFA, X-men: CotA, CapvSNk, was already fantastic. It was simply a matter of getting new art and polishing the engine with each iteration.
