Okay, I know most of you don't know me, I'm LavaHot from the TRS boards, but I have a question. I'm a bit of an amateur video editor and I gasped when I saw the star wars spoof graphic. This is the reason I really want to see a video editing and effects version of Bert Monroy's show. Who did that and what software did they use? Thanks for reading!

Hey Lavabot. I did it. Then Neha did it. Hundreds of others have too! We kinda cheated and used the great application at:

Just don't tell everybody. I want to feel like I'm a superstar for a bit longer. take note that if you want it in true HD, (720p) be prepared to render a 20 gig file.

Aw, you little cheater. As soon as I figure out how to configure a OSx86 virtual machine, I'll have to try that. Regardless of your corner-cutting, you are my new best friend. ;)

Besides for taking a while to render out, I would recommend it. Very easy to use indeed! *nerd snorts*

It'll run slow as fuck. Take note that using a virtual machine will only use 8MB of graphics memory. You won't be able to do any graphical things. Safari and iTune will be slow.
Download VMWARE server. It's free
Now download OSX86 amd or intel (depending on your CPU).
Some osx86 DVDs wont install on your virtual machine.
use 8 GB hard drive.
OS should be set to unknown or unix.
then, one processor.
Allocate the whole 8GB. It'll make OS X run faster.

I actually had no problems with this, and am sorry you did. It does take a long time to render out, but otherwise, I still think it's a fun program to play around with. Thanks for sharing--I hope there is some way you can find to enjoy the Star Wars fun!

He's actually talking about running it in a virtual machine, which would be my only option in terms of actual use, as I don't have a mac lying around.
