View Full Version : The Pupdate Thread!

So, a majority of you have been around to see the pups since they were born (literally). Well, I figured I would create this thread to provide updates on the little monsters. You may or may not care, but here it is anyway.

We started out with 8 puppies. We are down to 6, one of which we are keeping. Beren has found a new home that is going to treat him wonderfully. Here is a Flickr set (http://www.flickr.com/photos/davemonk/sets/72157604667323660/)that his new owner put up.
Aragorn has also left us to go to his new home with Nick this evening. This was an expected move since we first noticed that Aragorn was taking on many of Max's characteristics.
So we are down to 6 and are keeping one of them. I will post updates here as they find homes for themselves.

Beren is about mid-sized. Aragorn is weighing in around the low 20s now. He is huge!

Nick had Aragorn at work today. Oh my gods, I think he grew a pound overnight! So I cuddled Aragorn at work today, and Gimli get shoving his face into my sweater when I got home and laid on the couch, the remaining boy smelling his big brother. All the dogs were smelling my sweater.

We'll post more pics soon, newer ones of them all.

They are all so cute. I don't know how you are living with all of them, puppies have so much energy.

My one puppy was hard to keep up with the first year, I can't imagine caring for eight pups! Good luck with finding them all good homes.

Funny I followed the last thread but never posted...thought I did..well anyway.
I am just amazed how fast they grew.

Yeah. It was supposed to kill them. Turns out it just made them grow quicker. :) I kid, I kid. These pups are just fast growers. They have been on "solid" puppy food for a long time now. I say "solid" because we would fill a bowl with the food, then put warm water in it and let it soak so it was a mush. I think it retained a lot of the same upward-growth properties even after being turned into a mushy paste.

Wow. WOW. We are down to one boy and one girl still available. The house feels so...empty and...quiet...with only four dogs still here.

If you want to see how much they've grown, I'll take an old pic of Luthien when she was a few weeks old:

Lil' Luthien got her spaying last Wednesday. Poor girl was terrified and wouldn't walk into the back. I literally had to pick her up and carry her.

Lookie at this cute pic taken on the 1st of this month! Cuddled up with the bunny Nick got Emma last year that has since had its guts ripped out. So she's cuddling with the shell of her momma's bunny. In a pink sweater! In a pink sweater people still ask HIS name, and I always have to correct them.

I am SO glad we kept her.
