TiVo downloads--No Tekzilla?

So I wuz doin' th' happy dance cuz the latest TiVo upgrade lets me download video podcasts from the web--not just the TiVoCast stuff, but other cool stuff, like Ask a Ninja and Tiki Bar TV and Mahalo, and all the Revision3 podcasts in HD... EXCEPT FOR FREAKIN' TEKZILLA! WTF?

Yep, Systm, Diggnation, PixelPerfect, The Totally Rad Show, iFanboy, etc. are all available in glorious HD, with a Season Pass option, but my fave, Tekzilla, is conspicuously absent.

Can someone look into this post-haste? I can't be expected to watch Tekzilla on my crappy old monitor, can I?

Oh, you mean why isn't all our content listed in the Browse Videos section? Wow, that does suck actually.. I'll find out who handles the tivo foo and let ya know.

Temporarily, you can just download the episode you'd like and transfer it to the tivo via the windows Tivo Desktop, I believe (testing it as we speak)

alright, this should be resolved soon, don't know a specific timeframe but we've talked to our tivo contact and the rest of our content should be on there soon.

I still don't see Tekzilla on Tivo, even though I can find basically every other revision3 show. Any word on what the story is here? I can get Systm, but no Tekzilla, thru Tivo Desktop.

In the end, I had so much trouble with the downloadable season passes on TiVo that I just gave up and built myself an HTPC.

TiVo could be one heck of a "convergence" box, but they don't seem to care that much about providing support or making sure their network features actually work.

I agree, but my question is why are most Rev3 shows (popSiren, Diggnation, Systm, Internet Superstar, etc) on there, but Tekzilla is not? It's obvious that they CAN get web video onto the Tivo Desktop platform ... I'm just wondering when Tekzilla is going to join the party, or why it hasn't already.

If you're seeing all the others (thus, likely have the payway tivo software), you *should* be seeing tekzilla. I'll have to check it out when I get home (no tivos on-site).

agreed. I bought my tivo-hd hoping the divx support would be sufficient (with the payware stuffs). I was really quite dissapointed and got an appletv instead (sorry, I don't need a full htpc, I still love my tivo's dvr functionality, I already have a home server with tons of capacity, i just needed a device to bridge my server and TV). Turns out the appletv was exactly what I wanted (after it was hacked).

Oh, I couldn't live without the TiVo DVR--in fact, I use Desktop to offload my "keeper" TiVo recordings to my HTPC.

I guess my HTPC is mainly filling in for the TiVo's shortcomings!

I've just recieved the latest upgrades to both the TiVo system software and TiVo Desktop Plus, and...

On the PLUS side, the "downloadable season pass" function now seems to be working, and my subscriptions are properly updating and downloading at approximately the same time they show up on iTunes.

On the MINUS end of things, not only is Tekzilla still not on the list... but now PixelPerfect and Systm have disappeared! Now that I think of it, I don't remember seeing DIGGNATION on the list, either!!

WTF!

I'd suspect some major break with TiVo, but PopSiren, The Digg Reel, and The Totally Rad Show are still there, so Rev3 is still getting (limited) support.

Man, this just gets weirder and weirder...

Okay, as a follow-up to my last post, I decided to take a little roll call of the Rev3 shows available as web downloads through TiVo:

The Digg Reel
Epic Fu *

* Actually, Epic Fu is available even without TiVo Desktop Plus

These are the ONLY Rev3 shows available for download on TiVo. I definitely remember that Diggnation, Systm, PixelPerfect, and The GigaOm Show USED to be listed, whether they could actually be downloaded or not.
