Glad to see the guys are reviewing this next week.

I saw it a few weeks ago (had an earlier release in the UK) and have to say it was one of the most charming, heartwarming and funny films I've seen in a long time. For the last half an hour I was smiling from ear to ear.

I urge everyone to check it out and is an absolute must see for anyone who has made movies with a group of friends.

For people who have seen it, any thoughts?

Agreed. Awesome, awesome movie. The best British film not made by Danny Boyle in a very long time. I imagine I'll be watching it fairly often. It's one my favourite films of the year, easy.

Just thought I would bump this thread, with the release of the DVD this week.

I was actually shocked that the TRS guys didn't like this movie more than they did. I absolutely LOVED it. I saw an advance screening at the Phoenix Film Festival, and I have to say, this movie was somewhat of a profound experience for me. I was in the midst of shooting my own film, absolutely stressed out, and this movie was EXACTLY what I needed to see. It was an exact reminder of my childhood, actually having FUN making movies, and not stressing over how every little detail turned out. This movie lifted a big weight off of my shoulders, before I had to dive right back into the big shoot. Aside from the filmmaking aspect of it, I thought the film was a very accurate representation of how childhood feels for a little boy.

If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it.

I forgot that I saw this film on a plane - I think I enjoyed it.

But that being said I was up to hour thirty two of trying to not fall asleep, so I can't guarantee I was conscious enough to appreciate any subtleties :P

Ah, that sucks. Planes aren't exactly the best places to enjoy a movie. I recommend giving it another try.

I loved the movie when I saw it in the theatre. Not only was it fun to watch but it ended up being a really touching story about friendship.

Just earlier today I came across Will Poulter (he played Lee Carter) in a British sketch comedy show featuring kids in their early to mid teens. Very funny stuff.

I am very excited to hear this news. I never had a chance to see it in theaters because it never played around in my area.

I will have to look for it.
