Did anyone read this series? Seems like I've heard good things. There's a whole run on Ebay pretty cheap...

Is that the H-E-R-O one? I read the first (and only) trade and thought it was pretty good.

Yeah, it used to be Dial H for Hero but apparently they wrote that schlocky part out of it pretty quick.

It's good, and worth the price (which should be about a dollar an issue via Ebay or the Con scene). At the least, it's mostly drawn by Dale Eaglesham so you get your money's worth with that alone.

I think I bought that whole series. I was actually pretty damn good, as I recall. One of those completely overlooked but rather interesting series. A modernized take on what was originally a pretty cheesy concept, but Pfeifer did a good job of making it work.

it was a load of fun and it REALLY picked up steam in the final arc. I wish they'd collect it

Was there some sort of over-arcing plot?
I liked how it was a bunch of short stories connected loosely by this device.

they were single arc stories that became all interconnected at in the final (two?) arcs
