That looks like everything comic books shouldn't be. Ghastly.

I think this looks kind of cool. I'm a sucker for a good teen superhero team... especially if it has X in the title. I'll give the first issue a try.
It looks to be aimed a bit at all-ages, which is a good thing, I think. And with Claremont writing it could be really good... so it's not like they are just throwing something random to the kids.
Do we know who the characters are and who they are the children of? I'm guessing this takes place in the future? Which worries me a bit... but hopefully it won't be too disconnected.

I bet I can guess all their powers just based on their look. Except for the blonde kid in the back. He might be a little Gambit, a little Rouge and a little bit who gives a shit.

The interior art (http://www.marvel.com/comics/onsale/lib/view2.htm?filename=/i/content/st/3311new_storyimage8969968_full.jpg), the title, and the concept turn me off.

I agree. The art looks terrible.

When you say GOOD teen superhero book... do you mean Dynamo 5? Maybe Young Avengers. I've never liked any of the 'Young X-Mne' stuff. Its always been goody and silly.
Oh, and it looks like they're back to having mutants crawling out of every corner of the world again. WHich is tedious.

You make a good point. I can't remember the last time I've read a teen/team superhero book that was good. Runaways. Though, I'm sure I can't hope for this book to stand up to that quality.
I didn't know Dynamo 5 was a teen book... that's supposed to be good, right? I'll have to check, that out. I didn't really care for Young Avengers.

I was thinking about giving it a shot.... then I saw Claremont's name. Screw that.

Although i've been dying to pick up an X book since i've gotten into comics, the interiors feel too much like a sat. morning cartoon - which isn't bad as long as its on a tv. If the cover artist did the interiors i might pick it up... ah well.

is this that Claremont series Marvel was talking about last year? the one that's suppose to be in "real time"?
