Do you want to help out the show? Do you want your name in the credits of next week's episode?
Do you have ready access to New X-Men #116? Do you have a scanner?
http://www.4colorheroes.com/morrison/images/misc/new_x-men_116.jpg
If so, I need a 300dpi scan of the cover of New X-Men #116 by Monday.
Who wants to help? If you are that person e-mail me at conor at ifanboy dot com with subject line "New X-Men #116 cover" Don't just send me the scan I'll need to go over specs with you first.

I don't have the issue to hand, I'm afraid, but I just want to say that I HOPE HOPE HOPE the topic of the show is 'worst costumes ever.'

I hope you are not talking of Emma's costume. That would be tragic indeed.
Also, what are the specs for this image? I have the issue.

Aww man. Like I discussed in another thread, it would take me driving to my storage space, digging through boxes, unbagging the book, then scanning it. I wouldn't even know where to look.
I think Emma's reverse X costume is brilliant. Impractical, but brilliant.

Emma's New X-men costume is brilliant for what it says of her. Aristocratic, sensual and not the sort of girl that needs to lift things. She's the Marvel U Posh.

Or obey the laws of physics!

When was the last time the laws of physics were observed in comics? Prince Valiant?
By the by, I just finished reading #116 two minutes ago. Holy shit. That Grant Morrison is still blowing my mind.
The part where Prof. X shoots Cassandra and says, "May posterity forgive me". Followed by Emma's, "May our dry cleaners forgive you.
LOLercoaster.

And I'm going to have to go dig it up and read it. Morrison Emma Frost is probably the hight of this character. Whedon's Frost is a runner up.

Right, because Whedon's Emma is really Grant's Emma. Any other variant is useless. ;)

Oh yea, heck I pretty much consider Astonishing a Morrison run because it pulls so heavily from his run.

Haha. The black bug room is in #116 too!
I wish only men named Joss Whedon and Grant Morrison were allowed to write the X-men. And there should only be like, 10 mutants total.

And this is the part where I check out of the conversation and start taking my meds.
Have fun!

Have fun!Do you mean to say, Morrison's New X-men wasn't the only X-men worth reading*?
I caution you, Caroline, you may be under arrest for possession of a terrible opinion if so. We run a legal business here.
*Excepting for Astonishing. Which doesn't really count because it is A. not utter shite and B. is really just New X-Men continued.

I die a little every time someone says that Morrison's run on X-men wasn't good

I mean to say that I've had this conversation often enough to know when I shouldn't get involved in it!
But, yes, let's say there are lots of X-men runs I prefer to Morrison's, and I don't think -- when it comes to those particular characters and that particular comic -- he's even in the same league as Whedon.

Dave, stop posting under Caroline's account. You heartless Cthulhu monster from the abyss.

Actually, I'm a big Morrison fan, so that would not be me. ;)
Johns is my target. :D

Or, to put forward a crazy idea, it's possible that another person has, based on independent reflection, formed an opinion that is different from yours.
There may even be explanations for such that don't consist of sockpuppetry and/or deliberate campaigns to destroy fanboy souls!
Ahh, never mind. I told you it was crazy.

We're just joking around with Dave at this point. It's an inside joke stemming from Dave's comments about Wall-E.
Dave's a good friend, and we agree on pretty much everything other than Wall-E and Geoff Johns. Or, more accurately, I agree with his points about JSA, but the faults he's listed don't bother me so much.

Here is where you are wrong. Sockpuppets are evil.
I do not support evil.

Oh, I do get the joke. I'm honestly not offended, though my point is still somewhat serious. There are no bad opinions (just evil Cthulu monsters who have them).
Besides, I'm quite aware that nobody really likes Grant Morrison, and if they say they do, it's only because he magicked them into it with chaos symbols.

Shame on me for not going on the fourms. That's my favorite issue of Grant Morrison's run of X-men.. :o

Okay, as I just added the cover to next week's show I'm shutting this one down. I have a feeling this conversation will return next week.
Thanks, everyone!
