What videogame do just pwn at?

I have a theory that everybody is just undeniably awesome at one game, at least. Usually to the point that all their friends do not want to play said game against them, or at all.

All of my friends pretty much hated me when it came to Tekken 5/6 or Soul Calibur 2/3 we also had some fun with Red Faction until I found a way to just be uber cheap at it.

So what games do you simply crush your friends at so badly they don't even wanna play you?

People's jaws drop when they see how good I am and how fast I can fly through "Sonic 3 & Knuckles" or any Sonic game for that matter. I know pretty much every part of every level and RACE through the game.

Halo. I am the second best Halo (1, 2, 3) player I have ever encountered. Also, I never lose at Fusion Frenzy when it comes to the music mini-games.

I once won a Gameboy Micro a week before it was officially released at a Mario Kart Double Dash tournament, I basically pwned at that game. Haven't played the new one yet though.

I won a Blockbuster Tournament in my area for playing Donkey Kong Country, and I didn't even own a Super NES at the time. Just practiced a bit for a weekend before.

My friends found me to be cheap with Link in Soul Calibur 2, but I just played every match any possible time with him. I also used to be pretty good at GoldenEye, but I learned where all the guns, hiding places, etc. in most of the maps.

Now, I'm not too good at many games, and is why I hate playing online with people I don't know. Much rather have a good time in a living room with friends or something.

I can beat Super Mario World on the SNES pretty quick. I've been at parties where someone turns it on just to mess around, then I start playing and people are cheering when I get to Bowzer in like 15 minutes. It's awesome.

I don't wanna toot my own horn here, but I'm pretty unbeatable at Solitaire. Either I win, or nobody wins.

Admittedly, I own a copy...never played it though. (I think I went back and bought all the MK games available on a Playstation playform at one point.)

I like to think I'm pretty good at Football Manager 2008 (that's Worldwide Soccer Manager 2008 is the US). In my current game I am coaching Ajax toward the Double and I am in the knockout stages of the UEFA Cup. We will see the glory of the CL one of these years though!

Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 on the PS2. I was extremely close to what at least was the world record. I used to play with AndyTHPS online as well.

I used to also be REALLY good at Red Faction online on the PC.

Not too shabby on COD 4 on the 360 either, but I wouldn't call it "pwn".

Used to be ok at CS back a few years ago. Halo is probably my game. I'm probably the best out of my small group of friends in RL and I can hold my own online too. Got a skill level of 40 on Lone Wolves.

I figured out fool-proof ways to gain massive amounts of AP very quickly, kill every non-Boss creature with one hit, beat about 90% of all card games with the exact same strategy, and defeat Ultimecia every time.

You and I should talk... as that's what I'm playing right now. I found the fish on the beach that give 6 AP, and junctioning Death to status attack. Those card rules and how they work are still confusing me though. I also wish I could get rid of all this excess magic I thought I was so cool stocking up on that is now useless.

To respond to the topic though 007: Agent Under Fire. Using the Q Claw is an artform that makes the multiplayer so much fun. It's like if Spider-Man got in a gunfight with a bunch of clones of himself. Brilliant. Tekken 5 I was pretty badass at, we would play team battles, and hardly anyone could make it past Hwoarang, Steve, Asuka, and Xiaoyu. On Guitar Hero, I would pwn any tournament around here, (providing they set the lag and make sure the controllers work properly) it's just tough knowing if and when any might be going on. Also back in the day no one wanted to play Amplitude with me because I was so cheap online. Then again there were some people that were just psychotic on it, but that's true with anything. It's just fun to be the best person you know.

Compared to some more avid gamers, I'm sure I look like weak sauce, but I play those 2 games better than others.

I used to think I owned at streetfighter 3. Being able to beat all my friends was no problem. Then one fateful trip down to china town proved me wrong, needless to say when the guy parried my supermove before unleashing one of his own, I knew I had met my match.

Although I still think I'm pretty badass on Marvel vs Streetfighter. I would often let people pick my characters for me which lead to them accidentally giving me zangief and ken (an unstopable pairing) and a great way to finish people with a double final atomic buster.

I think with most things, you suffer from being a big fish in a small pond. You think you are awesome amongst friends but once you expand the people you play, you realise that might not be the case.

Is there any point to saying you're good if you're not playing in a serious format? I'm not saying you're not good, but you can't really say you are until you're doing it with serious competition.

I was ridiculously good at Crash Team Racing, which is a kind of uncool game to be ridiculously good at, and Mario Kart in battle mode, when I was a kid. My older brother used to bring over his friends, and they would all try to beat me in the battle mode, but I never lost.

(One of his friends was actually a contender for the world record at the game Columns. I've never seen somebody play a game better than he played Columns, even videos of actual world record runs. The blocks were falling so fast I could barely even see them, and he was placing them in the perfect spots, switching around the colors, and constantly setting off chain reactions.)

I used to be pretty damn good at Super Smash Bros. Melee back in the day - never quite at the level of some of the fights you'd see at tournaments and stuff, but pretty respectable. The new one isn't out here yet so I don't know whether my skills have faded.

I was also pretty good at Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. And Super Metroid.

Also, I pwn crosswords (even the cryptic ones) and Sudoku. I do at least two crosswords a day. The sad thing is I'm not kidding.

I'm with you. I don't think that I've ever rocked a game so hard that any friends didn't want to join me afterwards.

If you ever want this fun that you speak of, to include some compatriots in a multiplayer endeavor (for any of the games listed in my signature) I'll happily set up a time with you! I'll take teaming up with a friend over alienating them any day.
