What I just posted is pure speculation, but if it hadn't occurred to someone else who is avoiding spoilers, now the idea is on their mind and when they read it, it might not have the impact it would have had I not speculated. Is there and internet consensus on whether speculation is synonymous with spoilers? Just curious.

I'm exactly the opposite. It's just not a big deal because the EASIEST thing to do is bring someone back. So the act of resurrection doesn't feel like much to me -- particularly in the DC universe where it's happened a lot over the past few years.

I should note: bringing back Bucky as Winter Soldier wasn't that big a deal to me, either. Then they made it awesome and it became exciting. But the initial discovery? Maybe I'm just jaded because i've seen as many lackluster resurrections as good ones.

Its all personal taste and attachment though. Somewhere out there a person exists who thinks the return of Gonzo is a HUGE deal.

DC looks to, once again, be intending to take a step backwards into nostalgia for the sake of nostalgia. I strongly doubt any good story telling can come of this. Their desire to stagnate their product by bringing back characters that they replaced with better characters a decade, or more, ago is inane. I have no feelings for this guy. Or Hal Jordan. Or the old Superboy. They keep dredging up this old, dead shit continuity that they worked VERY hard to clean up and discard at the end of the 80's. Its bad editting. Its bad storytelling. Its trite. Its rote. Its tired. Use your own vernacular. This is one of many reasons why I barely read DC anymore.
