use Opera and then right click on any myspace page and tell Opera to not use plugins and then no more myspace video/music crap.

Maybe Firefox can do soething similar but I dont use it often enough to know.

If you have a myspace account, whenever you log in you can go into your account options and tell it not to autoplay songs on other user profiles.

Yes thats true, but I'm assuming he wants his music to play, but not to hear others. Which I don't think can be done.

I use a greasmonkey script called "Myspace custom style remover" Not only does it take away the audio, but also the crappy styles people use. It makes myspace half way readable.
