Doesn't surprise me. I haven't seen the movie, but this one's been circulating in the bars pretty heavily for the last couple of years.

oh well you should see the movie if you like shooting pool or hustling people. im not saying you riped it off some one. cuz like you said in some of the other scams other people have done it be for you but you are bringing it to the masses. which is good i guess unless the people your trying to scam have seen it. also you never said that this is a scam or what ever that i came up with you just showed us the scam.

I thought this might be some sort of throat/chugging trick for faster drinking. Even still it was a good episode. Every episode has kept my attention from start to finish, and I can't wait for more.

I remember seeing this demonstrated on one of those after-school kids shows a couple of years back, but with soda.
But hey, it just means that this is a classic trick to play on unsuspecting victims. >:-)

I've done this one before, and usually I have an empty glass that I've been drinking from, and trap one of his with that. It's still technically my glass. So...
Or take one that's almost done, and then add the fresh ones to make it even harder for me. I quickly finish the one that's nearly done, and trap that way.
Though the way in the video is fun as well, having them sit there while you take your time with a whole drink. ;)

My friend and I watch Scam School every week, and we especially love
"The Race". It's had some success in scoring us free beers at our home
bar. Recently, my friend pulled the trick on one of our mutual friends,
when I wasn't around.
Yesterday, this mutual friend tried to pull the trick on me... in
reverse (him still doing the two shots).... I tried to play it off as if
I didn't know the trick, and we raced... I finished my first beer, set
the glass upside down, and started to chuckle... that's when he pulled a
fast one on me...
He grabbed a wad of bar napkins, lifted my glass off of the shot glass,
and downed the shot... winning the bet... Technically, "He" didn't touch
my glass, he touched the napkins... the napkins touched my glass.
Question for you: Is this a legitimate way to scam the scamer?? Has
anyone else run into this issue?
Should we now say "move the glass", not "touch"?

It's a technicality. He DID touch your glass. It wasn't direct contact, but he touched it.
One of the other rules is you can't touch each other. This doesn't mean you can shove them off their bar stool just because you touched their shirt and not their skin.

Feb 4th, about 25 minutes in (including commercials) the lieutenant uses the ploy to get the bad guy to talk. He called it the "international cover up" game. He bets the guy he can drink 3 glasses of beer before he can finish 3 shots.
At first I think he's one of these guys who did a lot of beer bongs and can open his throat like a porn star. Then he adds this line:
"Only rule, you can't touch the other guy's glasses." Ding Ding Ding. Scam school grad!
"Oh gee, I got so much to drink, why don't you give me a little handicap?"
He starts sipping and explaining how in WWII they used to "outwit" the enemy. Code for scam. Then after finishing half of one glass he says "go", finishes his one beer and covers the last shot glass just in time.

This one is going to be a bit hard to pull off. Brian made it look easy!
I'll have to remember the rules and practice sounding like its off the cuff. Should be entertaining to say the least.
